  4. December 3 pm 35 degrees NW wind 10-15 Cloudy Wet snow What a crappy sit. Facing the wind and covered in wet snow. No fun. Switch it up tonight and hunted a spot I don't hunt to often. The conditions were perfect for it. Pretty good funnel on the inside corner of a cut corn field. Doe and two fawns made there way out about 430 and that would be my night. 5. December 2 pm 60 degrees S wind 5 mph Partly sunny Between the heat and all the rain all of the snow is gone. Crazy hot day for December. Sat on a cut corn field tonight. Does, fawns, and small bucks... Plenty of deer made their way out to it but just not the right one. I heard a bunch of single shots tonight so apparently guys were filling their freezers tonight. 7. December 1 an 33 degrees SE wind 5-10 Cloudy Lots of deer on their feet early this morning. Had a buck cut across the field as I was headed in this morning. Heard some chasing in the neighbors woods before Sun rise. Coyotes, does, fawns, bucks all on their feet before 815 but... No big boys. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  13. Just had a 2.5 year old get the heart racing. I was checking this thread for updates and when I looked up a buck was standing in front of me about 70 yards. He was just inside the ears and my binoculars told me the rest. The blood pumping felt good. Lol!#onemoreyear Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Just had a coyote cut across the field with what I believe was a rabbit hanging out of it's mouth! Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Deer all over the place this morning. Thought I heard some chasing in the neighbors woods. Just heard my first gun shots of the day. Loud walk in had to jump in my closest stand. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. November 30pm 36 degrees Calm wind Cloudy Nothing seen from the stand tonight. Quiet as quiet could be. No lack of deer sign though. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. It's funny how quiet the woods gets half way through gun season. I think we have all tried to convince ourselves that the deer just left our zip code and must be in some secret spot somewhere miles away. A garden of eden, where deer hide until the day after the season. Then you show up to your spot with two day old snow and the deer tracks are endless. Now I have I have to convince myself all over again that deer do still live here. Literally ever where I look there is a set of tracks. Every possible deer trail has tracks on it zig zagging all around my stand. Maybe they are trying to tell me something. Like hey you, yeah you, go f yourself. Damn deer. The tracks don't lie. I have have standing corn and they want to be here. I have the best food source that isn't buried under three inches of snow. For God sakes man show yourselves!!! 20. I deleted the last few replies. Play nice or dont play.
  21. I would suggest one of the high speed convectors if you're leaning towards Okuma. 300' and 400' is a good place to start. Okuma also has copper specific rods . Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. November 29 pm 37 degrees W wind 5-15 Cloudy Hunted a new stand tonight. It would make for a spectacular rifle stand if they were legal. Lots of deer tonight and on their feet fairly early in the cut corn. 16-21 deer seen. All flatheads from what I could see. A bunch of turkeys also. Got stuck in the stand until 530 because of some late arrivals to the field. Coyotes were yipping and howling again on my way out. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. 5 flatheads and half a dozen turkeys feeding now. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. I never actually have sat in this stand. I hung it in January after the season last year, as a late season spot. Deer are on their feet already! Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
