October 26 pm 52 degrees NW wind 5-10 Cloudy Occasional drizzle Sat in a fresh set tonight. The set is set up as rut stand so I figured with the all the action the past fees days on the property is was time. Not a whole lot happening close to the stand besides a doe group but I did see a lot in the distance. Lots of chasing again this pm. Saw a handful of does get chased right off the field. Just got done moving a couple stands. One i moved to the tree to the 12 feet to right of where it was. I felt deer were picking me out of the tree so hopefully moving it to the side I wont be as noticeable. The other stand i just rotated in the same tree about 45 degrees. I wanted a better line of sight over my left shoulder.

October 25 pm 50 degrees Partly cloudy ENE wind 5-15 What a sit! I can honestly tonight was the best hunt I have ever had (of course besides any hunt that was a success) in all my years hunting. Absolutely covered in deer. I'm guessing I saw close to 50 deer tonight. At one point I could count 35 in the field. Countless chasing. And not just bumping and scent checking. Sparring, scraping, rubbing. All the fun stuff that bucks do. I saw ten bucks including four shooters tonight (3 for sure and one possible). I'll say it again, what an amazing sit! I cant imagine numbers are down over there. I would blame it on food. My buddy hunted there for years and deer would travel for a good food source.

Yup. A lot of believers with the full moon on Halloween. Personally ill bet on the first 2 week of November.

Certainly a big uptick in road kills lately but certainly not November numbers yet.
