Back in overwatch. Same field as yesterday afternoon just a bit closer to where I saw deer enter the field but with this wind I am still not as close as I'd like to be. December 10 pm 31 degrees NW wind 10-20 Cloudy skies Rain becoming flurries Hunt the weather. Cold front has been settling in all day. Upper 40s 24 hours ago and upper 29s by dusk today. Deer were on their feet from the moment I sat down. Once again I was on the ground and hiked a long ways in. Good buck showed up to the field about 250ish bumping and scent checking does. One if the does seemed to have his attention and he wouldn't leave her. Never got close enough for a shot and he eventually left with the does. Well between my kid's basketball tournament and getting some work done during this warm trend, hunting has been brought to a screaming halt. Good news is that it should leave my schedule open for muzzleloader season. It aint over yet!

Just thought I would share this customer service story... So as you guys have probably learned I have replaced all of my misc trail cameras with a dozen Browning cameras. I had one that one that was malfunctioning due to the IR not working. According to my pictures it just got worse and worse until it just stopped working all together resulting in dark pictures at night. I emailed Browning and of course their response was to send them the camera along with the receipt. I responded back to them stating that I didnt have a receipt. The customer service rep looked up the serial number on the camera and said "no problem, It is under warranty. Just send it in". Well a month later, I have a new camera in the mail. No screwing around. Love these cameras, love the customer service!

December 6 pm 30 degrees NW wind 10-15 Cloudy So to start the night the neighbor sat in the field 150 yards away and with the wind direction, blew any chance if deer coming from the SE corner out to me. ugh... Well... Walking out I had a bunch of does pop out of the woods. Followed close behind was a 2.5 year old buck bumping them. He seem to have a bit of a limp to him.
