well i always catch the silvers when im trin for eyes..soooooooo,troll in 20 -35 fow with worm harnesses and j13 raps in various colors..mabey you will find the eyes..and so long 4 now;john

i would say the average size is 10in some push 12 but few and far in between,

fished from 6am till 1230pm.1 follow of a northern pike and lost one when i set the hook!!!caught a few monster sunnies hiting j13 rapalas!!! the bait was almost as large as the sunnies.a few silver bass and largemouth and a smallie finished out the catching.even tried the ditch and no eyes to be found,,no one else was targetting fish with teeth saw 2 other boats who where after bass...and so long 4 now;john

thanxs for the info!!!!!ive caught eyes from 60-5 fow on the GULL.we go the same time every year and every year i struggle to find somethin consistent..i normally jig in the 12 -29 fow usin worms..mabey leeches is the key??????and so long for now.john

we stayed at kirk cove.and your right bout the canadian national bird.the sqeeters make it almost impossible to fish past dark.ive never tried leeches there.how deep did you find the eyes??? i was always markin bait but few fish!!thanxs for the input...and so long 4 now;john

not many eyes boated but the rum was cold and the food was great ..4 guys 2 boats..15 eyes,i caught the biggest 5lbs and the most 6eyes..a few bass thrown in too,the wether played havoc with us tuesday and wed.80+deg.thursday morning 42 plus a 30mph breeze,wether got stable on sat and we got 5 that day.all the fish caught 6-20fow..my self and my boat never got skunked .the other boat took 2 days to land 1st fish...still sooo much better than work!!!!!!and so long 4 now;john

very nice eyes!!!!! its good to see the nite bite is still goin on..the daytime bite is what im trin to figure out..but if they are there at nite they must be somewhere during the day????

tried owasco for some eyes.630 am till 113o am..2 lakers for the effort fished from 3 -33 fow...also tried the river..nada....mabey they have all been taken out????i dont believe the stockin program is still active..does anyyone know??i heard through the rumor mill that some fingerlings where bein grown on howsland island and then bein transported to the lake?????and so long 4 now;john

thought i was goin to fish this eve at the cross lake river confluence..the river is at flood stage and the docks are not in at the boat club..i didnt drive down to the marina since i all ready donated 15$$ to launch at FREMACS this mornin...and so long 4 now;john

6am till 12. 2 guys boated.3 eyes ,7 perch.2 smb.1 silver bass,1 drum,1 24in pickerl..all fished caught between 12-18fow...saw lots of bassholes on the water.5mph and this little man in his $40000 bass boat did a fly by within castin distance at 40+ mph!!! other morons too but none quite like that jerk..and so long 4 now;john

this is not good news...openin day is like xmas to me..i left my 1st born in the hospital when she was born so i could fish..........guess its shore time

well i would;call1-800 and ask for the service manager.2 after that i would want to speak tp their boss.3i would send an email to dave figurea at the post standard and explain the situation.4 if you cant find in YOUR warranty papers that because your engine is in commercial opperation that you are limited to 1 yr instead of 3 i would place a call to nys inspector general..you pay his salary ..hope this helps;;;and so long 4 now;john

GATOR; depending on where you set up the ice was 1-4 in..i was on 4 but my fishing partner was on 2.5 and we where 20ft apart

had my best weekend yet at quinte.caught 11 eyes and 4 over 8lbs!! and my personal best 11lber.most on a green sidewinder in 20fow..and so long 4 now;john
