if the gov. is spending 19 million a year on this problem id like to see a breakdown as to how this money is spent,,, i appreaceate everything that is done but after following the cluster *#@, thats been done on seneca for the last few years (or not done) ,and with the high percentage of fish with eel bites 75% or higher on Seneca kinda puts a little concern as how the problem is being handled..im just a backseat observer but have talked with many locals on Catherine creek (ive fished it almost 30 yrs) and they gots some stories that kinda make your blood boil... On the other hand i wish some of these fisherman would properly release all of those bigger fish caught in the finger lakes , a 20 lb salmon is probly 3 years old if ya ever caught a 20 lk laker again in the fingers lakes its likley to be 20 years old or more, 5 lb rainbow in the fingers probly 7 years old.. gotta get to survey....... :?

yes thats why ya always do circles up current and come back unless your in jacks(10)lbs nice school of steelies they usually ant to fussy. usually ill make first pass back through if there fussy then i go into circle pattern thats when the boats with radar show up :?

musky never saw the post till today , i only fish the hudson around newburgh area great time , last two years slowed a little dont know if the run was narrower and i missed the big one or the numbers are down,talked with old timer (not as old as you)last year and things slowed for him also,maybe some of those Mass. guys can get reports up there to see if numbers in Mass. rivers were down the temps for 2nd wk of may were down for last 2 years so i hope thats it , but 6-7 years ago it was super cold with good run , with this global warming were having now and the light snow up north it might be another slow year if it was due to cold,,, slow is 20 a day good 40 ,,,, ,50 plus(4people in boat)are 4 year ago numbers,,,,,if your a diehard i might have room for two more this year if your idea of fishing till noon is ok bring your own boat or good pair fins and snorkle,fishing the hudson is a adventure in itsself 2nd weekend in may if all goes well,stay at koa in cabins this is a experience you dont want to miss

trail,, you can adjust trail length .01 to bout 10 miles keeps ya on the school less ya want to leave fish to find fish :shock: adj. trail length a little shorter for less clutter.........dont know why the grid unless it could assist in download or codes between capts (3clicks grid 4 n ) my old gps had grid only

i think cannon has one that does speed ,temp, and light for color not shure though my fish hawk works well other than interference at 100ft plus depths with fish finder but i dont leave it down entire time fishing

we always remove scales and keep in a bag i count thm when get home each scale represents aprox 1 mile you can tell how far the fish has swam in its life takes a while ill send ya a couple bags to practice on..

janz ,did all the grounding checks last year after the black box therory , and cleaned the zinc thingies on the outdrive,no change i'll chk the plugs ,new wires last year also,i even took a AM radio off channel and listened to spark tining to screen dots hard to tell due to delay of screen and signal, ,,,,,,,as far as changing hawk freq. i can live with that as i dont leave the probe down once i find temp and gps speed, ive heard of too many of them sitting on bottom..gonna move fish hawk trans. to center and f/f trans.to outside away from prop and outdrive .. last summer i picked up some wally trollin weights in ohio like those, to use the derby on seneca this year,, hook 6ft leader to lead with copper wire spoon(pfluger type) then hook trollin weight to reg pole .. let out 50 to 75' line hook into blacks release put ball 20 ft off bottom im thinking the lead and spoon will dig in like a copper rig , probly be another of rays ratnest expermints gonna try on onterio when every thing lays on bottom always learning or never learning!!!!!!!!!!!

after that rant about the rods i didnt dare to mention poloriods were just a little out dated but my dad still has his pol. landcamera in the attic just keep those rollers clean and youll get good photos everytime.........
