  1. Yes i did thats why i mentioned the (gear), sent out pm's with no reply to topic,I raised my hand once dont want to start no mutney with the CAPTS, to darne cold to walk the plank..maybe if i call my sign man and had a couple stickers made, no one would shoot me..with the cold and heating systems breaking im dooing some pretty long days but i always got time to help ..............

  2. With the talk about fish sent been thinking again, of taking the wifes spatula, or simular item and scraping slime off salmon into jar for lure dip ,or shampoo.. kinda manly might even grow hair 8) <(me). what would work as a preservative to keep couple days.

  3. not the ones our wifes lead us around by , but the nose ring on spoons .. I was lernt to put noserings on spoons so there was less chance of swivel damage from jumping twisting fish, ive had it happen with landlocks on seneca before .....last night in a chat room with Dan Keeting he said he never uses them, I know that should be nuf said ,just looking for others experience on this topic .. Thanks Ray K.

  4. I just called a charter service in north carolina due to unusual water temps this year stripers are off out to deep but there are some other catches offshore 10 to 15 mi that are pretty hot now ,price from 825.oo to 1200.00 max 6 people ( broad creek fishing center).... anyone got any contacts down that way : gotta be better than jigging for squirells with my improved peanut rig.............

  5. Shimmer me timbers thats 2.010 lures per min with a 10 hr day try to up your down time to 1min per lure ..as soon as ya say FH your outta my area but if Capt Billy V. gets off the sloaps for a min . im shure he could chime in here.guess i shuda asked depth and temp and line used on dypsys,30#wire with #2.5 setting on dyp. should give ya 33 ft down for 100 out at your speed approx. you could adjust your rigger depth to match your wire depth go to lure jenson web for diver depth chart . now i fish the oak 60 mi west of FH . always use 2.6 2.7 mph speed .im shure if you left 4700 of those lures home you would pick up about 30mph :) if those mags 20 are the ones that have the ion feature i dont know how its applied but i are a technishion and i would try to unplug them after putting down ????(that will help keep that spoon down a little longer too :? )hmmmmmmmmmmmm ok i wont live this down this year i invited a friend who lives to fish and lives on sodus bay to the oak lets just say it was his first trip there and he assures me it wont be his last, but out of fairness if ya know the waters you fish anywhere on onterio you can do well. if the dyps are work try long 80+leads off one rigger (only with lures no spinneys) thats a high loss % setup but ya cant lose it if ya dont hook it...and if your on the rod quickly with sharp hooks youll land more than you lose..we still got those other 125 lures to deal with .... Temp look for 50ish that time of year little colder earlier in the season little more out of temp in aug, unless the lake rolled the good temps were deep this year(last) 100ft plus. and worse yet they were narrow with strong down currents .thats why the experienced Captns. did well with many recs . left to wonder whats going on..sometimes 1hr hunting for fish at 7to10mph is more rewarding than 3 hr of hair pulling trolling ,also chat on the docks with a couple charter Capts.if you do well in there home port they know you will send clients there way, that should narrow you down to that last 25 lures for that area...in july i start with blk, glow.spinny w/dark or glo fly..purple glow spoons ,black magic, penna dolph.glow 1st hour not minute keep the purpledown and green penna glow, start blue spinny w blu ,marage,or white fly after that .......bang Ray K. hop this helps P.M

  6. where did ya go, when, hull type, moter type, gps speed or surface,or down,do ya have a good looking girlfriend if ya do please post picture..........of your boat and motor......bummer to drive that far and no release wires going off says your in the ballpark on speed and lure selection ASSuming your total catch was 15plus fish a day thats wy i ask where and when.now if ya did 9 fish in9 days then ya got some work to do or tackle to buy :) seeing were in the cabin mode go to that Black Box website , see if any thing there rings a bell,i woudlnt rush to buy one as most voltage problems can be resolved without one,, i ant no expert but when i go fishing i like to hear my drags a working, i might not be able to remember my wifes birthday but i can pull any lure out of my main tackle box the one that sleeps with me (over 300 in there) and tell ya when where and what i caught on it .now we all got our if i tell ya i gotta shoot ya favorits, the 15 to 20 that work all the time .if ya just answer that first line we can help .. without tellin ya the secret 20 cause if we tell ya ........................... 8)8)8) Ray K.

  7. sometimes a picture tells a story i already noticed the paint was chipped off the front of that lure ;) the guyes that got me started trolling always stressed putting split rings on spoons as a flopping fighting fish can twist the spoon just right in the swivel during a fight and unhook the swivel.. 3yrs ago on seneca we were fishing togeather dan reminded of that as i hooked on a stinger without one... you know the rest of story .. :$ hooked a nice landlock thing was jumping bout the 3rd time nothing but a bent swivel not only unhooked but bent beyond use .....got me a pair of splitring pliers and a good supply of split rings ,,thanks for the lure tip though gives me a excuse to go to watkins for rnrs kindalight with sgl hook but those trebbles should calm em down sum, i use em mostly for sliders when i find a pod of steelheads , cohos,or smaller jacks but always looking for a new spoon to drown. didnt know tamerions could still be ordered ,,found bout 30 this year at a shop near pulaski for 1.00 each honey bees , optimisers, and northern kings too.

  8. thanks guys i just wound one of my lighter rods with cajun line (red) supposed to be harder to see than red lure or hook because light passes through it ....any thoughts .. i sorta had the afternoon set aside to iron some crinkled mylar on damaged flys and sharpen hooks, anyone try the red line in a scientific way comparing fish catches? and if ya used the same scientific bunch thats telling me we are in a global warming crises include that with your report.. I cant imagine how cold it would be if we wernt in the earls stages of record heat.. phew

  9. purchased my 1000w/gps bass pro 599.00 ,679.00 at this discount site hmmmm id continue shopping ..the good thing about buying fishfinder /gps unit is there is hundreds to choose from :? :? :? the way things are made now 500.00 on up should get ya a product any rec fisherman can benifet from ...jst compare cost of complete package speed, temp, gps, dual freq., at time of purchase rather than upgrading later trust me once you get on the water and see that fish comming up to look at or hit your lure just once it will justify the extra cost. think ill hook my unit up to a 12 volt battery and put it on demo mode ..........wonder what kind of fight those squirrels at the feeder would put up hmmmmmm..............sounds like i might redifine the peanut rig

  10. seeing global warmingis keeping us indoors again and there is no sale flyer in the sunday papers is there a website to download to SD chip to show contour lines of lake onterio or a good chip to by to use in fish /gps maping unit that shows bottom contours in good detail?????money is no object............. no honey i havent seen your charge card....ok money is now a concern..
