  1. No, they've been around for a few years. Were very popular at the Oak before the advent of e-chips. The Revelators with Crushed Glow tape on one side, and Neon tape on the other side are excellent flashers (I like them better than the Spin Doctors). Especially on the Black, White, and Green blanks. Last year the Black Revelator with the Hammer Fly was our hottest rig. I purchased mine directly from Church. They were very nice to deal with. Hope this helps. -Steve D
  2. Tom, any way to sqeeze 600' of 30lb copper on a Tekota 800? What would that reduce the amount of backing to if it would fit at all? Thank you kindly for any advice... -Steve D
  3. Thanks, Tom. 95% of my fish are caugt on your Atommics. With about 3% on Dreamweavers (30# test & bad hooks!) and a few on the old basic Howies (green and blue/copper). What is the SKU# of your Green Crinkle, Tom? Tounament tie is the best! Most fish caught have the treble buried and the large single in the corner of the mouth. It's a killer setup that never fails! Kindest regards. -Steve D
  4. Is the Green Crinkle Howie the #03 - "Green"; or the #04 - "Glitter Green"? Can't tell from the pics on the Howie website. Thanks in advance for any advice. -Steve D
  5. Yes, I saw the description on AtTheOak. I was just hoping someone might have a pic so I could see if there's something similar available. Thank's for the reply. -Steve D
  6. Anyone have a picture of this spoon? Seems like it's always a hot one at the Oak. -Steve D
  7. Beautiful fish, Al! With the brisk wind from the South, we stayed in shallow with the Browns on Saturday and Sunday in an attempt to avoid the bigger rollers. Most of the fish we caught came off the free sliders in 60 - 110 FOW. The usual spoons were working: Froggy, Chicken Wing, Orange Crush, Black Ice, etc. Got a couple on the lead core too off the planers. Full core and a half core (after the full core broke) were working ok. Fish are so fat they don't put up much of a fight. We caught an 18lber that was like reeling in a log and came right to the net without a fuss. I'll try to remember to give you a yell on the radio next weekend; or call me on my cell. I think maybe we'll break out the flashers and flies and give the salmon a try next Saturday. Look forward to talking to you.
  8. Nice job, Al. I worked on my boat this past Saturday in liu of the bumpy water so we didn't get out. Water Safari for the kids next weekend but we'll be back out on the 4th. Hope to see you there! -Steve D
  9. I was up at Bayside Marina to do the bottom paint on my boat Easter morning. It was nasty...windy and cold! Only Popeye's boat is in the water so far. Everyone else is still on dry land. Mayby Werner's been out and can provide some feedback? Hopefully another week should do it and this last cold blow will be over. Then we can get down to business! -Steve D
