    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

I took my 9yr old son Cam and a good friend and his son out for a early morning shake down cruise. The water was pretty clear I think I should of went west the water looked better in that direction when we were coming in. I ran sticks off the boards and small spoons off the DR's. I am very new at this early spring stuff but i did manage one fish for my son to reel in and as I said above i think it was an atlantic if I can get my friend to send me the pic of it I wll post and you guys can tell me what you think. We did release it and it looked pretty good when it swam away. It was a nice morning on the water and everything worked well so it was a success.

  2. Hi

I was thinking of taking my dad to the oak from june 17th through the 20th for his 75th birthday for a get away fishing trip. I was looking at Captains Cove or the Four C's marina depending on avaiabilty. I wanted a place to stay with a boat slip if you guys can think of any other options at the oak or along the southshore from wilson to rochester that would be good in mid to late June please let me know.

    Thanks

I grew up in south buffalo and fished the upper niagara, by the round house, mouth of smokes creek and small boat harbor, these are all great memories. We caught lots of walleye(aka yellow pike) and huge perch mainly fishing at night but some times on long hot summer days as well. Great memories!!! I have heard of the blue pike but I never did catch one.

  4. Any recomendations for my friend on where to go for boat Upholstery. It is for an older boat so he is not looking for top end high priced work but would like to be treated fairly.

  5. Well Zach I am glad you have had such good luck with your cut on contacts but don’t believe everything you read on the Internet. I have seen rage heads penetrate the shoulder and kill a deer and I have also seen marginal rear hits that ended up kill shots because of the wide mechanicals catching the liver. I will not put anything down without first hand knowledge but what ever you have confidence in, you should stick with it because that is half the battle in hunting with a bow.

  6. Hi guys I wanted to let all the lou guys know about this event it is allot of fun and a chance to drum up some business. It is also a cheap night out with a good meal and a great speaker for the rest of us that are not in the hunting fishing industry. Please read it and contact Greg with any questions.

If you could please pass this information on to your contacts at LOU it would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for outdoor activity vendors to participate in the 17th Annual Sportsman & Family Banquet being held at Victory Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 16th from 6:00 to 9:30 pm. Victory Baptist Church is located in Henrietta, NY just south of the Jefferson/East Henrietta road exit on 390. I'm specifically targeting fishing charters, hunting outfitters, archery and firearm vendors, and taxidermists who would like the local exposure. Historically there has been between 300 to 350 attendees at each event. The doors open and registration begins at 6:00 pm, a game dinner is served at 7:00 pm and the guest speaker lectures from 8:00 to 9:00 pm. The guest speaker for the past 17 years has been world renowned deer management expert, writer and photographer Charlie Alsheimer. Vendors will be provided a 8 ft table and chairs to present their services any way they wish from 6:00 pm through the dinner hour. Vendors will be able to participate in the dinner and lecture but they will not be eligible for raffles. Tickets to the event are free but there is a suggested donation of $10 per attendee. It would be appreciated if vendors could make a small, charitable donation to the church to help cover event costs and support the VBC 3-D Archery course.

I will only be selecting a few vendors from each activity area to ensure that we have a good mix of vendors. Selection will be based upon a first-to-notify me basis. If anyone is interested about the event or VBC they can go to www.discovervictory.com to learn more. Anyone who decides to participate should contact me directly. I can be reached during working hours at 585-274-5427 or after work hours at 585-321-3415.

    Thanks for your support.
