  1. Hi Tom

    Placed an order earlier this week, I would have tried a local place but there are not any close to me that carry your torpedo weights and I just donated one to the lake last weekend LOL! If i dont get out this weekend thats ok there is always next weekend or i can run with one DR and a bunch of dipsys which might work great. Either way your stuff is worth the wait and thanks for the heads up!!

  2. Well after some surfung I ended up ordering them from a place called Anchor Express for 360 each and 12 bucks shipping for both, but just like every other place i checked they were back ordered I hope to get then before the 20th of july.

  3. Thanks Mark he is a great kid and he realy loves the outdoors. I am taking him to N Carolina so he can shoot some deer with his grandpa's 270 and then next year he will be throwing arrows at them with his new mission bow here in NY. Somedays the trolling gets a little boring so i usually tell him to invite a friend and that seems to keep it going. I can only hope he keeps the passion for the big lake. With the fishing being this good and all you guys helping with tips and reports how can he not want to go!

    FISHING RESULTS

    ===============

    Total Hits: 8

    Total Boated:7

    Species Breakdown:Lakers and teenage kings

    Hot Lure: White spinny with a all white atomic fly

    Trolling Speed:

    Down Speed: 2.2 was the best

    Boat Depth: lakers 90 to 120 and the kings 150 to 200

    Lure Depth: 105 FOW

    ====================

    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Well I had to shake off the fact my Dad is no longer alive to fish with me and get the boat wet for a way over due shake down. I was able to take a good friend and his son out and the boy caught his first laker and his first king 15lbs so mission complete. Today no real problems with the rig except I donated a DR ball to the lake but there were many smiles on the boat to make up for it. Well loosing my favorite fishing partner over the winter sucks but this is a good start to getting back into the swing of things. Being a middle of the day shake down trip I did not expect much but it turned pretty productive and after beating up a few lakers i could hear my Dad saying push out, drop the ball, find the temp and get those reels screamin! Thanks Dad!

    This is the first year he has taken interest in big o fishing now he makes the lunches and then makes me promise i will wake him up in the morning! He sleeps on the ride to the lake and sometimes in the cuddy when it gets slow but I think the fish we caught together this year gave him the bug for life!

    Bloodshot

    You are right I dont care if i ever bring in another fish i just luv watching family, friends and especialy first timers catching a big fish and some times it is just a 6 year old reeling in a shaker and he is so excitied because he has only caught little bluegills before!!

    Weather/Temp: Cloudy early then sunny

    Wind Speed/Direction: south 10 mph+

    Surface Temp: 75°F

    Location:Right of the creek to the pump house

    LAT/LONG (GPS Cords):

    FISHING RESULTS

    ===============

    Total Hits: 4

    Total Boated:3

    Species Breakdown:2 Kings 20 & 22 with one small laker

    Hot Lure: none

    Trolling Speed:

    Down Speed:1.8 to 2.2

    Boat Depth: 90 to 115

    Lure Depth: 80 to 110

    ====================

    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Action was slow but my 10 year old son landed the 20lb king all by himself, he was very proud and so was Dad ! :yes: We caught the one king near the bottom on a 11" pearl flasher with a fimilar bite rig. The other king came on a white spin doctor with a white atomik fly on the wire out 310. Well I guess the loc is over for me with the incoming weather and a small boat but it was fun. I am looking forward to a better king bite over the next few weeks so i can take some family and friends out and watch them catch some big ugly kings! :)

    ====================

    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS well it was slow took one good hit on a wire with a blue and chrome spinny with a hammer fly it was out 320 on a 2.5 setting lost it after playing it for a few minutes. Had a decent screen inside but could not get them to go. I heard there was some decent action out deep 450 to 600 but it started to get pretty bumby at the 350 mark and with 2 young ones on board I decided to stay in. Oh Well I hope things set up for next weekend! Cant complain it was the only bad fishing trip of the year so far!

  8. This is gonna be great, for guys like me who dont have the time and or the money to do the pro am's this format is awesome. I have been wanting to meet the guys who are on the board who fish in my area and there can not be a better way to do it. Me and my very no experienced team of tourny fishing buddies do have high hopes of laughes, burgers and maybe a beer or two when we are done hell if we are lucky maybe we can weigh in a couple of nice ones. Thanks for putting it together guys!!!
