Fished the Salmon River from the 4th through the 8th of May. With good results using spey rods with heavy sink tips and large streamer flies. From mid-river to the lower river, even though the river levels were high, we should have good drop-back fishing through the end of May. Best colors were brown, white and tan in size 2 to 4. Here are some pics...

I also like a compound leader tied with at least 5 sections of varying diameter flouricarbon and a flouricarbon tippet. I always use a "Uni" knot to attach any size fly with great luck.

Howdy folks..just a reminder that the sportsman's show is going on this weekend ( Mar 6,7,& 8th) at the Dome in Henrietta. Jason will be out demonstrating fly casting techniques and getting some of the younger folk to try their hand at casting.
