  1. I'll  throw my 2 cents in and it's just that. Last year I ran through a case of Familiar Bite cut strips (Rhys Davis) heads and 4 packs of the Erie Deerie strips. My finding are this..... they both caught fish. the Erie product is tougher and did on one trip hold up to 3 kings where as the Familiar Bite was a fish a strip. That being said I did catch more fish on the FB than ED.  My boat will always have some sort of cut bait onboard...... kinda thought it interesting what Capt. Rich (Yankee) had to say ... if $$$ is on the line then ???? I don't compete with the big guys out there but I DO want to catch as many fish as possible when I go out.

  2. The only "true" ground on a boat is the neg. side of the battery as the block of the motor is isolated from the hull of the boat by mounts. The 12 volt system only functions off the return to ground. The most simple fix is running a 2 conductor straight to the battery.

  3. Without a doubt Beckman make a top quality net....not cheap but well worth the money. Just hope this one doesn't end up in Davey jones locker any time soon. My last one was a major brain fart (left on Bimini top, got on plane and realized after the splash. ) $140 later

  4. Here's what some bozo managed to do to my van last summer with their trailer in the same parking lot and it stinks now I also have to worry about coming back to a broken window :headbang:   Would be nice to at least see the BP start resting up in the main lot

you and I had the same f-nut hit our cars the same way. Except he did a lot more damage to my truck. Bumper was a 1/2" from my tire

  5. the most basic of thoughts is for every 1" of pitch you change you'll gain or lose 200 rpm's. If you dropped to a 14 " you'll get 400 rpm's and put you at 4100 rpm's. Might want to think about a 4 blade 15" and gain the best of both worlds better hook-up and hole shot and then great on plane handling.

  6. Lund sss, brilliant!!! Never would have thought of putting this on the inside of the boat! Much easier to attatch to the motors.

Thanks for the good words, I've been on plenty of nice boats that just weren't set up properly for me. That's to say things like hanging over the back of the boat in 3'-4' seas.... :puke:  :puke:  :puke: . I've learned a thing or two and as Jimski has said there's nothing worse than sending stuff to Davey Jones Locker $$$$ Last year a Beckman net. hope you get your rig fit to YOUR liking

  7. Kuba,

Measure the distance between the 2 motors with both straight and come up with length of your bar. null_zps70cda6f2.jpgthen bend your rod by heating it ( this will help be more accurate with the bends)  Hope this helps, in total I've got about $6-7 into my "EZ steer"

  8. before you go and spend the $$$ for an EZ steer maybe you'd think about a piece of 3/8" all-tread with (2) 90 deg. bends. I have done this between my 150 ETEC and my 8 hp evinrude kicker. The bends in the rod are 1 up and 1 down the main motor gets the down bend and the kicker get the up bend with a wing nut to keep it in place. A Pro Troll is the top vote for throttle control.

  9.  Unfortunately you can't get the Rhys Davis cut bait anymore & that was a great piece of meat. For the Rollerbaiter you should use the #3 size for cut bait.

You can buy Familiar Bite cut too Rhys specs..... and yes they still catch lots of fish.

  10. The Escape crew eats good when we are out.  Kurt usually brings the Venison Slim Jims, Keith brings the Dunkin Doughnuts (if Dunkin Doughnuts is not out of Doughnuts.  It did happen last year!) and I bring the Cheezits when I remember them.

Keith just tells you there out he eat them on the ride to the docks     Sorry couldn't help it.

  11. I guess it comes down to what your willing to spend ??? personally I've owned Revo, Ray Ban, Oakleys, Bass Pro, and a few other cheaper brands. I'm currently wearing Maui Jim and they are amazing !  The lightest optics ever. They have great coatings and have been very scratch resistant.

With most optics you get what you pay for so .....what are you in the market to spend. Yankee posted earlier in the AM about Webster eye having 30% off non-prescription glasses

  12.   Nice perch, looks like the same pic/pose as last year! If I remember rite or was the boat facing the other way?   lol

Same ugly fisherman new perch and believe it or not the ones in last years pic were bigger these were 1.13 lbs. & 1.10 lbs. just good perch for Seneca  :o

  13. Well after the constant howling wind the lake was a mess on Sat. and the mud was less than helpful, or was it ???? The few fish that were caught (mostly by Gator) were at the edge of the mud. A couple of nice perch and some good pumpkinseeds.

Went back on Monday with a newbie and RUINED HIM      Started early and it never really let up. My boy Wilson was a champ catching 3 doubles in a row all 11"-12" males. The live well filled quickly and we ended our trip with 75 perch in the well. Fish were shallow less than 15' and were caught on minnows, oakies, spikes and some plastics.

    Here's a couple piggies 7FEB9B7B-09E4-49FE-8678-4297D1FA1E4B-804
