In case you want to write our governor here is a great letter that i thought i would share

Dear Governor Cuomo:

Shall not be infringed. 

These words, as you well know, are the ones that bar any government in the United States

from taking away the People’s firearms. Men far wiser than we enshrined them in the United States Constitution on

December 15, 1791, and they have guaranteed our Republic ever since.

Unfortunately, the New York SAFE Act does not faze criminals. All it does is infringe the Constitutional rights of

the law-abiding citizens of New York. However, those rights are not the government’s to infringe. We, the People,

told the government we would be keeping our right to bear arms way back in 1791. And, for the record, we didn’t

do this to, as you recently suggested, “shoot a deer.†As James Madison—the visionary who wrote the United

States Constitution—said, “The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess

over the people of almost every other nation...(where) the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.â€

Why did we keep this right? Because, as Madison’s fellow delegate to the Constitutional Convention George

Mason told us, “to disarm the people was the best and most effectual way to enslave them.â€

The U.S. Constitution is clear. The imperative that we all do our part in taking up arms to defend New York and the

United States, found in Article XII of the New York State Constitution, is clear, too. And, the magnificent words of

the New York State Civil Rights Law, Article II, Section 4 are clear as well: “A well regulated militia being

necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms cannot be infringed.â€

Governor Cuomo, we are good people. We are law-abiding people. We own our firearms, including our modern

rifles, for individual reasons. Many of us do, as you suggested, “hunt deer†and other game. Others of us work in

dangerous neighborhoods, or fear that those who would harm our families may one day violate the sanctity of our

homes. Still others feel they have an obligation to live up to the words of Article XII of the State Constitution:

“The defense and protection of the state and of the United States is an obligation of all persons within the state.â€

The New York SAFE Act, however, has made many of our good neighbors, who, like us, own firearms, into

potential felons. We haven’t changed our behavior, but our state government has criminalized our rights under the

Constitution and the New York Civil Rights Law. We are reasonable people, but this is not reasonable.

Mr. Cuomo, we are asking you and the Legislature to do the right thing. Repeal the law you passed at midnight with

virtually no debate. Address the real problems with mental illness. You have an opportunity to set things right.

As a free people, we will not give up our freedoms. We expect you, as our elected employee, to understand that.

First I'd like to say there is NOTHING honorable about this man and second Mr. Cuomo and the legislation haven't done the right thing in years why would they start now ????  I don't disagree with contacting our representatives to let them know how we the people feel but thinking that any mail sent to our governor will be seen by him personally is a joke

After much delay my father and I made our annual trip to Canada for a crack at Quinte's gold. Monday brought nothing but frustration for me and 6 or 7 perch for my father that total might have been 1 1/2 pounds ..... dinkville !  A local walking off the ice tells us " I did 10 right  out there, but nothing over 2 lbs. "  Now I know I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box but, I jumped on the 4 wheeler and shot out to the 6 10" holes he talked about and dropped a waypoint for later. Fast forward to Tuesday and we go to the deep water in the middle on Long Reach these 10" holes became my new best friend because at 7:00 this big girl decided to jump on my 1/2 oz. Buckshot spoon.  12.9lbs new personal best and by far the fattest fish I've seen as Eye's go.

It will fit just fine.

Maybe I'm off base here but since when did we think that.... accountablilty, and full transparency were part of politics ??? We have been lied too and missdirected for years. Now we expect those in office to be truthfull and uphold the laws of which they were sworn to..... not going to happen. MAYBE if we started with a clean slate we'd have a chance. Sorry I'm really fed up with this whole thing

I think what you'll find is ANY 2-3 deg. rise will produce fish but, if that temp is also a color change than JACKPOT. I've turned plenty of fish in just a color break because all the water was the same temp. On the flip side, temp in GIN clear water my hold fish but, there not going to stay there for long after the first boat blows through. Near shore browns are usually a early AM bite but under the right conditions I've caught them till noon.

My sub troll doesn't even get used till mid to end of May the temps dont "cline" they "bar " as to say vertical not horizontal. Just watch your fishfinder if it's got temp.

Do you think it would hurt the hook bend the eye?

The hooks are bent then tempered, bending them after is not a good idea the will usually break

We used to park about 25 yards off the fence and cast the discharge .... I coined the term " Stupid Fishing " because anything and everything that was thrown in the water could and would catch fish. Had browns trying to eat a float while a steelhead was sucking down an eggsack. Took Dad one time and before I got a rod out of the rodlocker he LANDED 7 browns on a firetiger cleo. Ya Rich I really do miss that place bt then I'm left asking when would it become "old " . I did have back to back 100+ fish landed with different people in the boat.

Surprise,surprise the same gun that was recovered from the TRUNK of a car. How about the 2 men in the woods in full camo on school grounds (the woods adjacent) that were detained for questioning and let go..... NOTHING ON THE NEWS ABOUT THEM ???? I'm sick of the twisted half truths that get aired on TV and the public believes ALL of it

Thanks Rob for the most enjoyable 12 mins. I've had since this ****storm of Gov. Cuomo's law has created. Maybe people don't like Mr. Nugent and their entitled to think he's a goofball or nutjob but, the ONE thing he's not is a LIAR. He always tells it like it is... When the secret service and the state police stop protecting with FULL automatic weapons and multiple HIGH capacity magazines then I'll believe there not nessisary to carry

On a side note....a rebel buddy of mine hit up Ginna Sunday morning and went 32 for 35 in 5 hours with 5 rods. God I miss that place.

Ya I'd have to say that was an off day... there were days of over 100 fish but we never trolled, just parked on the side of the discharge and cast ANYTHING. If you wanted bows just throw egg sacks and hang on .... ya Rich I miss it too

Westboro Baptist Church To Protest Webster Firefighter Funerals

Posted: December 27, 2012

The Westboro Baptist Church, who picket the funerals of dead soldiers and murdered children, is planning to picket the funerals of the two firefighters who were shot in the line of duty trying to put out a fire set by William Spengler. Spengler set the fire then started shooting at the first responders who showed up to the scene. Mike Chiapperini and Tomasz Kaczowkan were shot and killed when they showed up to the fire on December 24th. Firefighters Theodore Scardino and Joseph Hoftsetter were also shot but survived. Spengler shot and killed himself before being captured.

Prior to this incident, Spengler had spent 17 years in prison for murdering his grandmother with a hammer.

Westboro Baptist Church spokesperson Margie Phelps tweeted:

â€They died for idolatrous worship-of-the-dead.â€

Phelps included information about the funeral arrangements and the hashtag #PicketFunerals.

Hundreds of anti Westboro Baptist Church citizens are planning to show up to the funerals and form a human wall around the funeral processions so that the families will not be bothered by protests. Twitter user @donna­_STFU made it clear to Phelps the town of Rochester would band together in the same way if Westboro Baptist Church attempts to picket the funerals for the slain firefighters.

The Inquisitr is also reporting that the infamous hacker group Anonymous recently upped the stakes against the Westboro Baptist Church by hacking into their website and posting the details of all their members online so that people could target the individuals who support the church.

A petition is currently posted to the White House website to recognize the Westboro Baptist church as a hate group. The petition is the most popular one ever posted to the site.

I just hope there wrong.... Edgemere Drive will be under 10' of water. The south end of the finger lakes better think about the surge of water coming there way Ithaca, Watkins Glen are not that far off the water either. A good 6' rise would flood them out

Really ??? that video has nothing to show perspective .... It's an adult with offspring, yes it is a big bird but how can you tell the size ??? I've havested birds in the 12-14 lb range alot. The biggest was 15 lbs. on a DEC scale at the Cauyga/Thompkins Co-Op. Greater Canada geese are all over the Atlantic flyway

Really ????? you think the federal government is control by big buisness... I don't think that a few boat manufactures have the money to sway the USFG commision. The habitat for us in western NY is not that good for this species of waterfowl. Yes we have good years but .... (2005 Braddocks had thousands of them) the people in charge of setting a bag limits can't look at 1 flyway and set the regs to that.

Yes, this my opinion .... everyones got one, some just smell worst than others
