Just my 2 cents but, why wouldn't you buy a 200" copper and use a spro swivel with shrink tube and get the 500' copper you started with ? Seems to me you've got the reel for it if it started out that way. I've got a similar splice in mine and it goes through the guides just fine.

Wow,
Not sure how to read in to this report. I guess it's great you got out and caught fish but it sure doesn't sound too enjoyable to remove a treble from one's hand. JK thanks for the reports Captain Carl planning on Thursday figured temps drop with the strong blow
-
Just my 2 cents... if you want them gone then you should break it up and sell in lots. On the lighter side if you've got a net value of 14k my wife is going to kill me because I've got about 40k worth on my boat.....
If you change your mind about selling lots I'd be interested in some of it

Maybe Mr. Salmon thinks it's a hot piece of ass? Till he starts singing on the wall, everything else is speculative.

SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS
What a morning on the Big pond. All I can say is GET YOUR BUTTS OUT THERE, these fish are hungry and WOW are they big. Started off right out the gate with this Beast John now has a 27 lber under his belt and it only got better from there. As the morning progress we'd boat an 18, 22, 25, (2) 27 pound fish, a 10 pound Bow and a Laker . The 25 while talking to my wife. Then a double that produced a 22 and this SLOB . Now for the low dumped my $100 Beckman net overboard on the run in and THEN, get to my truck at the launch and GREAT some no good mother F!@#er clipped my front passenger side, and left sooner or later your going to slip up and I WILL find out who you are. Thanks for ruining a perfect AM trip (minus my brain fart with the net)====================

SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS
Was joined again by John D. aka PakJohn and we put a hurting on this AM. Started early and was rewarded with non-stop action for the better part of 2 hours. Caught lakers where the kings should be caught kings where the lakers lurk. It was a great morning to be out, trying to get John's personal best over 20 is becoming a challenge. Handing him the screaming rod resulted in this solid 18 lber . Then the copper goes and it doesn't seem that big so, I bring it home. Guess I handed off the wrong one.... This 22 was a real fatty. The morning took a crazy turn when the water went cold and we began search mode. Went north found a few in 150', nice steelhead and a good king. Turned back and in 95' of water this football crushed the NBK off the rigger down 65' my scale had it a touch over 14 lbs. but just could see killing a awesome fish for what would only be (as of today) 15th or 16th place so back it went . Back at on Thurs. if the weather holds .....

SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS
So I met Captain Skippy at the docks ... Sorry Keith couldn't help it. He's got good intel from last night about 140'-160' range and were off. Shut down with a stiff west at our backs and get riggers deployed, bang meat fires within minutes of it being set...Nobody home
get it back down new meat and bang teenager breaks the surface and crack there goes the rig spinny and all. After re rigging and realizing we got something going, down goes all Spin Doctors and then CAPTAIN VALIUM scores. Keith says "go ahead" as I'm trying to hand him the rod, after all he's up. Such a nice guy, he lets me land the derby fish .
After thing settle down the scale bounces between upper 27's and mid 28's ...... going to the scales for sure. There out there for sure and some of them are BIG. Official weight 27 lbs. 9 oz. ====================
-
Hope you've got a big boat. Wouldn't commit to any run of that length without considering the wind forecast ???
-
Matt,
Don't be fooled into the "big" flasher thing, meat can and is just as effective behind an 8" spin doc as it is a 11" paddle. That being said my go to is a 10" straight white Spin Doc down the shoot. It may not fire the most in a day but stats prove it will ALWAYS be the biggest fish boated on the trip. FYI ..... S & R bait shop on Culver in Seabreeze has Familiar Bite and the Cut strips. Good luck with the meat thing mine are going to be running every trip from here on out
-
Any time John can't wait to hook you into a real king ..... not just a baby
when the screen looks this good kinda expect a release but ??? just wasn't meant to be....
