  1. I like using jigs on the bar for lakers using spinning rods and 10 lb test, what a blast. I have had luck on bucktails, swimbait style, etc. but cant seem to find a ryme or reason go to jig. Anyone out there have any favorites? size, color, etc.? Thanks BP

  2. I have a really nice ranch (year round) I'm selling right on the lake with 80 feet of lake frontage. It has so many improvements it's rediculous for this price ($134,900) The following improvements were done in 2005-2006: Vinyl siding, thermopane windows, insulation, furnace, roof, kitchen, carpet, lighting, septic & leech lines, and more. There is a small boathouse which will fit about a 16 foot boat or so with rail system & electric winch.

A separate garage with electric and work area. 5 minutes to the Oak and hot fishing straight out. (it's east of the Oak by about 1-2 miles or so). Also its near the parkway ramp for easy access and located on a dead end private drive. The neighboring lots are spaced apart. Any charter guys want to be 5 minutes away from your docked boat? This is a perfect place to retire to, 2 bdrms, 1.5 baths about 1,000 s.f. For pics check out

  4. Thanks Gator. Youre a good man. You are right about people moving into your spot, Ive had that happen several times and I wasnt too happy.

Seems like there should be more general info though. Thanks BP

  5. Anybody catching them at Seneca or am I stupid for even asking? I forgot that is the best secret in North America. Its not like its a small lake, never could figure out why everyones so tight lipped there.

  6. Where the world will we be able to launch on the oak with parking if they close the west ramps? How much money are they saving closing the beach at Hamlin 3 days a week?

Also I hate to see them close anything at the 1,000 islands. Cedar Island, Canoe Pt. This is rediculous. Patterson is a dope.

  7. I have a totally remodeled lakefront year round ranch for sale for only $139,900. It is 2 miles east of the oak orchard harbor entrance. World class fishing out your front door. 2 bdrms, 1.5 baths, New everything- vinyl siding, thermopane windows, insulation, kitchen, ceilings, flooring, the works. There is a boathouse with electric winch & rail system so you can fish out your front door and a separate garage. 80' waterfront x 205 deep. You can also get a $8,000 tax credit for 1st time buyers or a $6,500 tax credit for move up buyers if its under contract by April 30 and closed by June 30. If you want to see more photos or details go to http://northernstarrealty.com/lakeontariohouse.htm I thought maybe a charter captain could use this house and be close to "work" or someone who wants to retire and fish their buns off.
