SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS
====================
Got out for a few hours Thurs pm. Nice 1-3ft chop from the NW. started in 85fow. Set a MS gator at 85ft. While my fishing partner was setting his dipsy out, the gator fired off - Nice 6lb brown. Marked pods of bait on the bottom and at 40ft.
Trolled out to 200 and marked nice pods of bait 40 - 60 ft down. Small steelhead next on a watermelon nk down 70ft. Five min later - Dipsey out 140 - no 2 setting (green spinney, greeen atommik) locked up , shortly came unlocked. Then a nice slider hit (gator ms) - mainline down 85 - Nice 14lb King.
About 10 min later - Dipsey again fired off - locked then Unlocked Partner just reset dipsey, then the gator slider takes off . 5 seconds into the fight the other 70ft watermelon rigger fires away. Looked like 2 steelhead - both shot right to the surface and did some dancing, and then both did some gettin away. .
Most action was from 6-7pm. Fun night to start a long weekend. Looks like things are picking up on the eastern basin. HAPPY 4th every one.

Thanks for the replies guys. Happy Turkey Day!
Billy V, thanks for the link and info on types of paint.
Here's a pic. She's coming out to play in Spring 08.
Will likely have it bottom painted when I pick it up. next Spring.
Looking for place to dock in Fairhaven/ Oswego area for the season, been checking for good rates around the area. Any suggestions?
-
Hey guys,
I'll ask this - if its recommended to bottom paint my boat, if I dock it in the water the whole fishing season? Any Comments? or how difficult is it to clean the bottom of the boat after 5 months in the water.
Thanks for your input.
-
Upgrading to a bigger fiberglass boat for 2008. I use to trailer my boat, but will most likely dock the new one from April through October in Fairhaven or Oswego.
Any suggestions on what types of quality Bottom Paint I should get and where I can get my new boat bottom painted in the Fingerlakes or Fairhaven/ Oswego Area. Just looking to protect my investment.
-
Yuki,
Thanks for the heads up on this. will definitely check it out.
