the probe was always 5 feet above bottom- coldest was 46 warmest was 51....... 55 feet down it was 56 degrees in 85 fow

Went out this morning for a quick trip. Headed east towards cow sucker creek. Huge pods of bait everywhere in 50-80 fow. With suspended marks by each pod. Moved out to 80 looking for some feeding fish. Finally hit one 55 over 85 on a 28 size 42 second spoon; turned out to be a nice brown 11 and change....... Set back up and fished for another hour changing gear, colors , presentation........ Hit a laker 13 and change on a spin dr fly on the copper out 300. I think the full moon with the fish feeding all night on those bait pods is going to make it difficult for a while.

Is it confirmed that Sandy Creek Marina will be a weigh station for the PEDD??

not sure who this boat belongs to, but I saw it at the Town of Newfane Marina Friday night. Who said banana's were bad luck on a boat????

Started off the LOC with a weekend trip to Olcott. Got the boat in the water and on the dock Friday evening- set up and ready to go for Saturday morning.

Left the dock at 5:30 AM sat. morning and decided to make the run west. Set up in 60 FOW between Wilson and the Niagara; in some really nice stained water. There were multiple mud lines, color changes, and temp changes- all in the 60 to 80 foot range. Started off with a 4 rigger and 2 dipsey spread and began taking fish. We ended the day with around 20, every fish boated was over 10 lbs. All kings and lakers. Largest king was 18, largest laker was just under 16. The vast majority came on a green dotted spin dr with a pickled green fly, green/ glow- copper NK- both 28 and mag, white glow spin dr- no see-um fly on the divers.

Sunday- Made the run west again, but the north east wind completly changed the water conditions. All the water was mud.... we took one laker in 80 fow, 14 lbs and change......... Decided to go north to find some better looking water. Made it all the way out to 280 before it changed. The fish being caught were all west of the river, but an additional 20 mile run in 2 to 4 footers was not in our plan book. Back to the trailer and out to breakfast by 10:00 AM. Hauled the boat back to Sandy to put it at our regular dock. Decided to check the lake out to see what the conditions were. Fished for about 30 minutes and caught brown- about 8 lbs.... on a GFR just west of the creek.

went out this afternoon- the water was the same color and temp from 10 feet all the way out to 110 feet of water.......... There looked to be a color break about 5 miles off shore at Olcott. It was even further off shore at wilson.................

What vhf channel do lou members monitor at olcott and wilson???

what are the chances of getting a weigh station at Sandy Creek. Driving to the Oak or to Rochester is a pain.......................

I spent some time looking at the website....... I see that it pays a maximum of $1000- but what is the minimum prize it pays each day????? how does the prize structure work??

I use the Ugle Stick 8'3" for all my downrigger rods- light action- and they are great for everything- even 30 lb kings.

For my copper set ups- I run the 9' medium action. For dipseys I run both the 9' with roller ends or the 10' for the wire- with mag size divers..............

Have been using them for 20 years- and are the best rods you can buy for the money...............

Can you mount multiple sonar units/transducers and a fish hawk without the signals getting messed up? I currently have a fish hawk on one side of the boat and a lowrance hds7 on the other. Would like to put cheap sonar unit near the riggers- just for quick bottom reference...........
