This morning, 7/5 at 5:30, the portapotty was found in the ramp area of the N ramp in 2 to 3' of water. Someone had dragged it from it's location 75 yards east of the ramp and dragged it into the water of the ramp. TP was floating in the creek as well as whatever else was in the shi..er. I can't imagine the blue "juice" in the portapotty is good for the environment. If these idiots can be identified, they should be held accountable, and it shouldn't be too hard to identify 2 youth on matching dirt bikes. Maybe the ramp camera can shed a little light on the perps.

I was considering a trip tomorrow (4/4) to Cayuga Lake (Dean's Cove) to jig for Lakers. Given the amount of rain the area got this week and the high lake level, I wondered if the launch would be OK to use and if the lake conditions (clarity and debris) would be good enough for a successful trip. It's an hour and a half drive, any info would be appreciated. Thanks.........

Ya, If I'm gonna start jigging with 1 lb. weights, I'm gonna have to spend more time in the gym first.

Sierra makes a .224 55gr. sbt in their Game King design that seems to provide good terminal performance at 22-250 velocities. It's also quite accurate..... at least in my weapons.

I'd bet more than 10,000 leave our tribs in a months time.
Maybe for 6 weeks....... half of September and all of October.

So 15,000 are "roped" and 10,000 are "Tournament Coolered"..... and Tournament numbers are a drop in the bucket "when you look at what is stocked and what is naturally reproduced".
Then the trib guys are roping a drop and a half........
We're all in this together Captain. It shouldn't be an us vs. them conversation.

A little further west than your question, but Barcelona has been good recently. Burners and harnesses have produced well, with some stickbaits working also. Before this N wind anywhere between 65 and 110 was producing fish.

American Boating Association:.Fuel Tax Information Program
Looks like a refund of "highway use" taxes depends on what state the fuel was purchased in.
I didn't see any info for a refund from NYS.......

I've used Stern Savers on a couple of aluminum boats without any problems. 9 years for the one, 11 for the other.

I'm not familiar with the Seneca River, but if you ever want to fish the lower Genny let me know for some details. Lots of cats, and a great place to take a young person for lots of action. We usually use cut fish for bait..... lakers, salmon scraps, etc....... and hang chunks hooked through the skin under a slip float. A surprising number of cats in the Genny are not bottom oriented but are up off bottom and are structure/current oriented. Seneca River cats probably aren't much different.

I've got the same motor, but an older version.
2 years ago, I noticed the same thing you are seeing, and pulled the thermostat. It was stuck open, never allowing the motor to reach temp. Changed the thermostat, and problem solved. very easy fix in my case.

En-lighten me or point me in the right direction . Thanks for any info willing to share. Checked Erie United but sorry no comparison to LO
This may not enlighten you Cheesey, but it's my typical plan for walleyes on NY Lake Erie waters...... I live about 2 hours from NY waters of Lake Erie so a trip is into my pocket for in the neighborhood of $130 - $150..... gas, tolls, bait, launch fees. I'd go way more often and in "tougher conditions" if I lived closer. I usually wait until mid-July to seriously fish for Lake Erie walleyes, and the fishing out of Sturgeon Point, Catt creek, and Dunkirk is what appeals to me. July through September fishing out of one of these ports usually leads to limits. Before mid-July its tougher for me to consistently take limits, so I just wait for the deep water conditions to get good before making my trips. Riggers, planer lead core, and divers. Harnesses, worm burners, stickbaits, spoons. Whatever seems to be producing. I'm most interested in fillets in my freezer, and of course, enjoying the trips. I've dabbled with the early season night fishing at various ports, but it just isn't my preferred method. I'm sure there are a lot of guys who take early season fish in good numbers, and maybe they can give you better info on that fishery. If you have any questions, shoot me a PM.

Sandy Creek - Hamlin Launch is a Sh#hole

The launch is fine. I'm way more concerned about stepping on a hook that a "fisherman" left on the dock with 100 ft of 80 lb braid, than I am about slipping on a slimy board. If you're worried about splitting your skull in a fall, wear a helmet.....
