There is so much friekin bait on the south shore,
Last Friday, off 4 mile, we trolled for 1/4 mile with the lines bouncing off bait..... Don't know that I've ever seen that b4.

There's still some decent perch fishing out of the Catt..... We wound up with 55 yesterday, but did have to work for them. The fish we found were in 58 fow...... and we got fish on salted emeralds, and goldies...... one didn't really seem better than the other. We quit at 2:15. There was only one other trailer in the Hanover parking lot when we left. Gobies suck.

Now that's a great smile!
Congrats.

Last year? The project was cancelled last year.
2 years ago? I guess the point is that we've seen cormorant populations building and spending time in the tribs where some of our trout and salmon are stocked..... They have to be impacting the numbers.
-
The cormorants did a number on the Sandy Creek pen released salmon last year...... maybe they're getting fat on Browns too.
-
Jakey...... We made a trip up on Sunday and never got a fish....... 4 boats we talked to at the ramp never got a fish...... it sure was a rough/tough day for us.

What a waste of tax payer money, ramps that cant be used.
You wanna see a waste...... go take a look at Sturgeon Point Marina in the town of Evans on Lake Erie........

Drebs....... I launched a 16 ' aluminum boat off a roller trailer at the Fort North ramp on Sunday morning. The N ramp is very shallow...... But there was enough water for me to get out. There are no docks...... You'll have to launch and load from the ramp. I never looked at the South ramp.
-
Docks were going in at 10:15 this morning.

Be careful when launching there in this low water. The concrete ramps drop off sharply, and a couple of times a year trailer tires wind up off the end of the ramp when launching larger boats.

Looking pretty good. 40's and 50's next week will only help.

I got both. Still catch a **** load of fish on big boards. For walleye, you have to have releases that perform well or it can be frustrating.
PD, What releases are working well for walleyes?
-
I had the same problem as Jomat........... clicker failed on a lead core set up for walleyes.

I switched from some OOOLLLDDD Shimano Triton rods that were getting a little beat up to Okuma Blue Diamonds (medium/moderate) and couldn't be happier.
I've got some Triton rods and reels that are still doing their thing! Purchased in the late 80's.......... They've mostly been committed to walleye fishing on Erie.

They sure did roll them. Let’s see how did that work for them, resting everyone last week only to give up #2 seed and to only get beat by them again...... ugggg.
I'm hoping it works the same way in KC....... A week off, and down you go.......
but Mahomes isn't Ben.
It's still been a great season to be a fan of the Browns...... with or without fins.

I'm very sorry to hear this, my prayers go out to his Family, and his Sandy Family..... he's been here since the beginning and will be missed.

Leupold stands behind their products 110%...... Had a pair of very old 10x40 binos that the eyepiece lens on one side got forced into the body of the binos, and they repaired it and repurged it for free..... don't even think I paid shipping on the return trip.

Will Sundays game be more competitive? Go Browns!
After losing to the Jets, I'm afraid to watch....... even without big Ben.

The Browns I was speaking of are also bottom oriented. They can usually be found randomly distributed throughout the standings at the beginning of the season but after a game or two they are right back on the bottom. This season has been somewhat different for these Browns, but true to form, they can currently be found just off the bottom, slightly above the Bengals.

Where to launch in Erie
in Walleye
Posted
There are multiple locations from Buffalo to the Pa line with decent ramps.
Small Boat Harbor - Buffalo
Sturgeon Point - Derby NY / Angola NY
Cattaraugus Creek - 2 launches Hanover Town Launch, Sunset Bay NYS Launch
Dunkirk Boat Ramp - Dunkirk
Barcelona Harbor - Near Westfield
I'm partial to the Catt for perch and walleyes....... but there can be good fishing out of any of those ports, depending on the season and the fish.
