  1.  I've positioned (in the track) traxstech rod holders in 3 locations per side and pointed them inward. Equally space them one each side, from the transom to just behind the windshield. Then take PVC trim pieces 3/4" x 1 1/2" x 8', and grind the corners off the ends of the trim so they will fit into the rodholders. Insert one end of the modified trim board into a rod holder, bend the trim board into an arch, insert the other end into the opposite rod holder, and install a tarp over the pvc arches. I also have a "tent" pole positioned near the center of the windshield to keep water from pooling there....... simple, cheap, effective.

$50 is good.  I have heard up to $200.  I just did mine.  I haven't sealed it yet.  I am letting it slow dry.  As is with everything, you can learn how to DIY on youtube.

They're not hard to do, but do take some time............. I had a nice buck ruined by a local taxi, looked like he left it out in the yard for 2 months and then rubbed the antlers with used cooking oil (they actually smelled like fries), after that I learned how to....... I think you get a pretty good product doing it via youtube methods, and you can take some pride in knowing that you did it yourself. I've done whitetails, fox, and coyotes..... and they turn out just fine.

And there are a  number of tributary anglers, and residents of lakeshore communities, that would like to see  the King gone, because the crowd attracted to the tributaries currently is less than "tisirable."  deplorable. Then there are cultural aspects of native species, historically important to our indigenous populations, and as I said before, important as indicators of successful ecological recovery.

    Fixed..........

    Hillary?

  4. On lake Erie, you'll see more of the the "prickly pear" style of flea....... they're spiny water fleas and no where near as troublesome on fishing lines.

On Ontario, we see more of the difficult to deal with type...... fishhook water fleas. But, once the fishhook numbers start to go down, you'll see some of the spinys on Ontario too

I'm guessing that the fishhook variety is more cold water tolerant, and a way bigger pita.

I'm going to be more careful letting mine out and may take a little more aggressive stance regarding those that visit my property.

I'm thinking the ones that have been visiting already think your approach is aggressive enough! Well, check that....... most of them aren't breathing anymore, let alone thinking....

I had not heard about the incident. It's amazing how bold they get in the offseason........
