  2. any major rule change should be carefully thought out .. with 2 scotty tournys on the US side this year.. and ALOT of people are excited to have them here .. could really make or break the proam.. there are some good suggestions and some off the wall ones as well.. hopefully the proam committee will do what is needed to keep a GOOD thing going!

  3. A well known charter captain in Canada was busted just this year putting lead weights in a fish. Unfortunately, money makes people do stupid things. My suggestion for pre-checking boats before leaving the dock has holes in it. Last year at Sodus, some out of state guys a few slips down from us were pre-fishing and keeping their fish in a garbage bag in their car because they said they eat all the fish they catch. Since you could drive your catch to weigh-in there is room for cheating without an observer watching the cooler. I am not sure what the answer is. Getting an observer sucks, but may be the only legit way to conduct the tournament.

your observer is suppose to stay with your cooler until you hit the scale...

  4. I put them in a quart size ziploc with procure mixing it around every 5 min. Then i put the on a screen for 12hours.How long do you keep the borax on them? How do you store the skein and if you want single eggs how do you seperate them.I appreciate all the info thanks!!!

the borax stays on.. as for storing the cured skein.. just toss it in the fridge in some sort of container.. should stay good for a month or more in the fridge... can also freeze it and will stay good for alot longer... as for single eggs either wait a few more weeks to catch a loose hen or you can scrape the eggs off the skein membrane..... i dont cure my loose eggs.. put them on a towel roll them around a bit to dry them off a bit and then put borax on them then freeze.. thaw as needed... i only pro cure salmon skein to fish for the kings.. fresh brown trout eggs are the bait of choice for steelies

  5. One more question last night i tried curing some skein and some loose. I used pro-cure and followed the instructions but im not getting the durability out of the eggs, there all freakin breakin on me when i go to make sacs.Any advise would be appreciated thanks!!!

what method did you use? brine? or just sprikle it on? all my skein is done in a brine... soak it for a hour.. then all skeins layed out on towels to dry 12-24hrs.. then cover in borax.. the borax will toughen up the eggs and the skein membrane
