Just concluded that my starting battery bit the dust and need it to get the engine running so I can winterize it. The battery is (4) years old and has seen alot of use in those years. I've always used Interstate for my starting and deep cycle batteries. I was just going to get another 24M-XHD Interstate and be done with it, as it's stood the test of time. I'm wondering if there's any other batteries out there that are highly recommended that won't break the bank. I'm looking at strictly starting, not a dual-purpose starting/deep cycle. I have a deep cycle for all my electronics. Thanks for the input!

Check the prop hub and make sure it didn't spin. Guy near me had an issue with his 150 Mercury last week. At idle, boat would move fine. Anything above 1500 or so and boat wouldn't move, no forward movement. The prop hub was toast. Replaced it and back in business.

My 2000 Islander 221 has a 52 gallon tank.

Starcraft's webpage has an archive section with info on the older and out of production boats. I don't recall how far back it goes, however.

Don't know if you got cushions yet, but if not, reach out to your local Starcraft dealer. Mine is able to still get parts and miscellaneous items for my 2000 Islander. When I was in the market for new canvas, I called my dealer and they were able to get a complete canvas and windows for less money than I got quoted by canvas shops for the same pieces.

What I mean is that I would like any hp either a 4 or a 5 or a 6.  A few companies make all four.  I did "scroll down".  Only two this month and both were two stroke.  Maybe I missed some.

Wow, nice boat. The Sailfish was my dream boat when I started fishing Lake Ontario for salmon back in the 90's. If I didn't have my 221 Islander, which I love, I'd be all over this Grady. Good luck with the sale!!
