  2. Got home from work tonight to find one guy fishing out in front of the house. He left around 6 or so when I said to my wife that a crack in the ice running parrallel to shore showed up, about 5 minutes later and after the guy left......open water! He would have been stuck 100' from shore! (can't get pic to load) Guys it might be time to put the ice rods away and start waxing the boat if your bored! later Chaz
  3. Stopped by the house on the way to a job around 10 am and 3 guys were heading out... I asked if they were crazy... no answer. Got home around 4 when they were coming back up the hill, the one guy said never again, should have never been out there...DAH.. open water all around, what gave it away! Later Chaz P.S. Now a coating of snow on the bay this morning, someone will try it.
  4. The ice had a funny color to it when I got home from work yesterday and it was started to open up more around all the docks on the south shore. I'm afraid it's over. Chaz

  6. I talked to a guy coming in off of Sodus Bay last night, he said there was about 3 to 4 inches of ice in front of Grassy Point, but the fishing sucked...all day 4 keepers. Chaz

  14. WTG Kyle! Good Luck with the new ride! Tim, I think he needs some stickers for the side of his boat! Chaz
  15. Nick, you would need the next size larger for your boat! I was thinking of leaving mine in and just using a bubbler all winter and hope it floats off in the spring!
  16. Drove by the Sodus Public Launch, the one next to Arney's, The docks are pulled and barriers at the bottom of the ramp. There were a few trailers at the ramp next to the Coast Guard Station.
  17. WTG Kyle! We have high expectations for you this weekend! Chaz

  19. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name:Indecisive ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):08-13-2012 Time on Water:6-7:30 pm Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction:cloudy Waves: flat Surface Temp: 77 Location:Sodus LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 1 Total Boated:1 Species Breakdown:King Hot Lure: UV Tuxedo Trolling Speed: 2.8 Down Speed: 2.4 Boat Depth: 145 Lure Depth: 88 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Took my daughter out for a pre Fair Haven Challange warm up. Just got both riggers set and just started to let out dipsy when starboard rigger fired and it was game on. Kristen jumped on the rod and fought the fish great. The fish however decided to make things interesting about 20 feet from the back of the boat, when it made a run at the boat and weaved it's way around starboard rigger, between kicker and main motor then around port rigger cable and line. Ended up shutting kicker off and as to not cut line. Somehow he gave up and we netted her first King! Ran in to get some puictures before dark. It weighed 27.5 lbs. on the dock and she is all warmed up for the 25th! P.S. saw a lot more marks last night than we did all weekend.
  20. Kyle, Thanks for saving the day by getting that major to the boat! It's always a pleasure to have you fish with us! Tim ( Finders Keepers) must have paid you a bunch of money for NOT sharing his way points with us, Jack & I need to come up with some cash for you I guess! Later Chaz
  21. Thanks for ruining my first mate.... now he will never want to fish with me again! Awesome job! I hope Kyle stored those waypoints in his phone for me to use! Chaz
