I am fishing both leadcores and snap on weights this year. I have had great success with three colors off the down riggers. Must be the side to side action. Snap on weights will be new to the arsenal. Thanks again for the advice on the original post!!!

Does it matter how close I get the knot to the point were the lead stops? I suppose the closer the better, but I still feel like the lead is going to break through the nylon sheathing.
Thanks All for the feedback, Dave

I was thinking Palomar without removing the lead and also for leader. SPRO #8 in between.
-
Legacy, understand, unable to thread leader into LC, as mentioned above due to similar line size. Hoping for a second best choice at this point. Just tried a modified cinch knot to a SPRO swivel for the lead core side. Seems to hold up from what I can tell with a simple hard pull. Still hoping for additional guidance

Good Day,
Been searching and have multiple you tube videos. I can not get this connection to hold. Threading the flouro leader into the LC sheath is not going to happen due to similar size, no willis knot option, and old guy eyes! What would be my second choice of knots/connections?
Looking to run about 35 feet of leader.
1- Albright seems to slip....
2- If I strip back to just sheath, to try to utilize a palomar knot to a swivel, the sharp edge of the lead can be felt just below the knot, it will wear I am sure
3- If I strip back and try Uni-Uni - same thing with the lead trying to break through the sheath
4- I can either tie direct or use a swivel, no preference
Thanks, Dave

I did read that bending the front release up 45 degrees helps also with the 22’s. I am used to my mast and Riviera boards. Thanks for the in line board advice.

Iceman, so there will never be release from the board with your method, just pull in and manually pull off the pin and front clip. I like it. Ever have the board dive on you this way?

Good Day, I currently have the SD/PREM - E5 VO1.21 in my Older Lowrance 5200c (1GB card). Almost all my fishing is in the Fingers.... I have notice the contour lines or off a bit, they always have been. I have enough time with the unit to understand and have compensated for my home lake.
Is an update going to help with a better/more accurate contour reading on this unit?
Thanks for your help,
Dave

Original question was for the small yellow pinch pad shower curtain type, running my boards off the mast line, I call them straight line boards. Old yellow Birds. But , you have answered another issue I had with my Church boards as well!

Bummer... I am in PA. I knew I wanted to get to the show, didn't happen. Would have been perfect. I am trying to fit the 19 strand (.015) onto a Shimano Tek300. I only fish the Fingers, I think I can get close to 500 feet on it, but not sure. I could have just walked over and sad "fill me up"!...

I was just trying to avoid shipping costs, I will contact directly. Thanks!

Looking for 19 strand, seems to be a popular item. Anyone now were I can order a 1000'? Direct from Canada, shipping costs?

I picked up a dozen a few years back. Waiting for them as the hooks were attached (down stairs?) and each and every one wrapped up like a gift in tissue paper. Try that at Bass Pro!
