  5. A tad on the rough side this morning. Went outta Dean's cove and headed toward Sheldrake, setup coming back north as the wind was pretty stiff. Picked up a small brown on the lead core then nothin. Bounced over to the east side and marked plenty between Longpoint and Aurora, picked up 3 rainbows, 2 went back and kept 1 for dinner. Time to hit the golf course:-) Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  7. Thanks Les, Do you know the Ranger model # or can you point me to a link to order one? Rick
  8. Would like to get some opinions on where to purchase a new net for the boat - mostly fish the fingerlakes but head to the big O a couple times a year and want it tough enough for an occasional King.
  9. Nick - I can't help but agree, the number of huge bait schools in many parts of the lake the last two years is certainly making it a real challenge to entice them to opt for a lure. I picked up a nice rainbow last weekend down 95' on the rigger which seems rare but does tell me I've been putting too many lines too high. Cayuga has certainly been hot this year but I'm hopeful it'll back to our turn in the next couple years. Thanks for the insight and keeping the positive attitude [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  12. Got a late start out of Deans Cove a little after 10. Setup on the east side with 2 deep on the riggers and stacker spoons at 50 and 60. Put out 8 color lead core and headed south. Started picking up dinks on the stackers and the lead core every 5 minutes or so. Between the sun and humidity it felt like we were going to melt. After an hour of putting back little rainbows and landlocks one of the stackers fired with a tail-dancer rainbow. He had all but swallowed the hole spoon and buried the entire treble in his throat. Now I know why I normally swap all my spoons to single hooks. By the time I got him unhooked he'd had it. Didn't have my scale on board but at 24 1/2" he was easily 5-6 lbs, so in the cooler for dinner. Spent a couple more hours running from the t-storms up and down the lake and picking up small silvers - lost count after a dozen or more and called it quits when the radar showed a storm coming that had Seneca completely covered. Luckily we got back on the trailer just before the skies opened up. Quite an exciting day but grateful for a nice fish and the rain to cool things down a bit.
  13. WTG Nick, love it when the bite is fast and furious
  14. Waited out the rain and hit Cayuga for a couple hours late afternoon. Went 4 for 7 silver fish, Mary Jo still needs some practice getting them to the boat but had loads of fun! Kept one landlock for dinner and let the others swim to be bigger next time.
  15. Here's my version - lightly marinated rainbow grilled w/sweet onion, grilled asparagus, and grilled peaches.
  16. Ended the day going 10 for 12, what a blast!
  17. All on smaller light green and yellow spoons today. Most came around 40-50' over 120
  18. Now 8 for 10, still all rainbows. Put 3 in the box that got hooked pretty hard. Great morning!
  19. Though I'm a huge fan of Seneca, decided to give Cayuga a go this morning. 5 for 6 so far all rainbows no real size but big enough to be fun
  20. Good luck - gotta have my coffee 1st
  21. Ed if I ate like that for dinner I'd weigh 300lbs. Gonna try my luck in the morning
  22. Not this weekend - working on a deck
