  1. Its supposed to be windy Sat. but if you stay on the south shoreline you will prolly be OK - and the fish are in shallow! Pike, perch and browns are in the muddy water close to shore on the south end. A yak would be perfect!!

  2. Not wanting to waste a bucket of bass minnows I got Thursday, I head up to Seneca to fish from the pier. I don't expect to catch much and the weather reports say its gonna be windy. Well I get there and its not too bad. With the nw winds there is some stained water along shore. On the advice of lakebound88 I set up in a spot and use some floats. Not too much later I land a 4 lb pike. The action was slow but steady and I ended up with 6 or 7 pike and 2 nice 5 lb browns. Pike ranged from 2-6 lbs. Nothing big but fun none the less as I was using 6 lb line. All in all a great day considering the forecast and old bait.

  3. we pulled out a 4 inch sawbelly out of the mouth of one of the fish we caught yesterday. They seemed a lot fatter yesterday than they did a week ago too. Even the cookie cutters had a full stomach. Beautiful fish! The colors and the markings are amazing on these fish!

What another great day on the water!! Thanks Capt bob, nick and joe for an awesome time!

  4. it was an awesome time out there!

it was really all 3 guys could handle with 6 rods.

we lost a lot of fish simply because there were no more hands to pull rods out of rodholders that were firing.

by the time we would get to em the fish were gone :o

mostly salmon, but a couple of nice ones and a few browns mixed in. also pulled in 1 laker.

a few of the browns were NICE!

You guys threw together a fine winter boat!

great guys to fish with!! Can't wait to do it again!

    what a blast!!

  5. yea my neighbors gave me the 'lecture' when we moved in about the whites in the area. the locals are very protective of them - even consider them sorta like pets. I guess that I am that way too now, because its so cool to watch them hanging around. when one gets hit and killed by accident it doesn't lay around for more than a couple of minutes before its gotten rid of, unlike the regular ones who lay around for weeks. on a side note who the heck cannot see a white deer in the middle of the road and slow down in time - the speed limit is only 30mph in my neighborhood!:@

  6. Great day on the water! Jason made the call at the last second to go north a bit - we both agreed since the south end was slower than usual. Got our first hit before we had everything out. Fast action in the morning, which warmed us up in the cool morning, then slower later in the day. Jason had a double on one rod around noon, pretty cool to see that. Several large fish with some smaller ones mixed in - but we dropped 2 more really nice ones. :@ Only kept a couple for the grill, the rest were released to be caught again.
