  2. Did`nt pick up any this past season on them(had a follow though...whoohooo).I toss ivanhos, champs(picked up a lot of18 for i think $30,now i just have to get them away from "Mr toothy"...haha),and gators.Picked up a musky on a yellow/redhead gator spoon at chautauqua.I personally like them and pretty much have atleast one close by all the time.I`ll throw more this year.

  3. What do you think???

Lets flod the DEC with emails and phone calls to have special regulations implimented for waneta and lamoka to ..."tipups prohibited!!!!If they give a damn about this fishery they will include it next year. This should at the very least save a few skies.I`m still hearing fish being pulled in....whether by accident or not(reported that they are letting them go). There is no need for tipup use on this water. This regulation should help and it should be posted at the launch under the plexiglass.I as well as several of you donate our money to the chautauqua fish hatchery(a little each time adds up) to feed the musky fry which gets planted in waneta for our pleasure and to have large fish such as that taken out"illegally" ..well... it troubles me.Capt.Larry and others put much time and hard work into locating funds for this project and i`d like to see some changes in the regulations to protect this body of water.

  4. Welcome lance and nice job last year.As zach noted these can be found on ebay,I frequent ebay due to my collecting of lures and see them in the musky section and sometimes antique lures.More than likely you`ll be bidding high unless you get lucky  I picked up a quiver fish and a musky special(not using them!).Quiver fish is like a suick but also has a front diving lip along with the back-pretty cool baits.

  5. Hey zach...i was taken back when gus told about this.Had to get my 2cents in on the issue. If people out there realize we won`t hesitate to blow them in then they may be deterred from icing them out of season and or during open water b4 the season opener..Also hopefully they get the messege that the resources are limited for this fish and release them throughout the season. Now that the channel is open between waneta and lamoka hopefully we`ll start to see them spread out a bit more and not concentrate so much in waneta.I spoke to the dec about increasing the limit and they stated there is a healthy population down there therefore an increase was`nt warranted.

Zach...need any lures????give me a call...i`ve got a bunch of lures to get rid of!!

To those whom keep out of season....sooner or later you`ll get BUSTED!

  6. Thank you larry,it has been a pleasure to have been around you and participate in your tournaments.I have learned a great deal over the last year and look forward to putting all that to use next season. After a long winter i`m sure you`ll be anxious to hit the water after you have rested and built back up your strength.

I hope that you and your family have a safe and happy holiday season. If able,I`ll see you at the nma party!!

  7. Well we managed to get out there late.Paul suggested I-bay(was his favorite when piking was good there) `cause of time but i elected conesus.Nice afternoon and got results from the south end on the edge off the weed point.I got hit 2x throwing 6" straight wiley(missed both)and paul connected casting 6"jake in perch.Good to get out after a long tough week and get him a fish he so loved before heading south.I think it was the hat...gave it to him b4 heading out.He noted he`d never fished for skies...well i guess a trip up to chautauqua is in order!!!!(him and his are thinking `bout it)
