Roof rats are tasty. Decoying and pass shooting can be fantastic. Helluva lot better than dirty mud sharks or old squaw.

With kids they are going to need a rest. Set up a good rest and the rifle isnt that much of a issue. Use something like the lead sled. 14 for ny? Unless your hunting out of state.

Had a yote pop out yesterday. About 60 yds . He gave me a wtf bark. Pretty funny. He thought he had free meal.

my friends just got scammed. dumped a grand. didn't pull the trigger. no birds within 500 yds. "guide" had them put out most of the deks, lay on plywood with no cover. guy didn't offer a afternoon hunt or even apologize. jerk even waited around for a tip.

Im sorry Flybuster as you posted I misstated somthing very poorly. The 8 bbs in the 24 inch ring, was and should have been stated ; 8 more bb's in the 24 inch ring using the xtra full choke compared to the full choke. There were a total of 89 BBs in the circle, but remember we shot 3 rounds of the same load to cut down the inconsistancys and get an average between all the loads tested. You will once in a while get a load to work perfect then not get another to do the same for another 20 rounds, so we went to 3 rounds for a testing average. And also my testing was done at 50 yards.

sweet! i'm stocking up on cheap 3.5 duck killa loads. i'll make sure to use to the extra full choke. most of my shots are 50 yds. i'm sure the extra 10 -15 % will come in handy.

99% of the time, it's not the gun, the choke, or the load. proper gun fit helps, even a poor fit can be shot reasonably well. open chokes and steel are deadly inside of 30 yds. very few people shoot enough steel to worry about 30 yd plus shots.

braddock bay was really quiet. i wing tipped a gimmie goose pass shooting.

conesus was poo today. took 2 buffs. divers were really high or rafting in the hundreds. mallards were ultra spooky and almost absent.

i hunt poo,surounded by greatness. i dumped the one deer i saw during gun season.

coyotes love suburbia. i've got a few in my backyard (brockport) my older dog remembers coyotes slamming into her kennel in colorado. dam things were good at eating pets. it's funny knocking on doors during hound season. landowners are shocked when we show up and tell them they have a coyote in their backyard. it's always no,no, no coyotes live around here. it's hard to keep a straight face when you have gps unit/tracking collar and eight dogs losing their mind barking.

not much flying sat/sun. i made a nice double on sun. of course when we were packing up on sunday,ducks wanted to come in. driving along the shore i saw hundreds. going to chase the deers this weekend. hope things pick up for late season.

i miss shooting them. wish ny would start a herd like PA. it's a shame ny dec doesn't do anything but collect fees and issue tickets.

high school friends kill 100+ each year with dogs. they hunt same farms year after year. each year the numbers go up. i've got a lot of respect for them.
