  1. Alrighty then. Plenty of good thoughts here and all by guys who only want the best for the fishery. But with under three weeks to go i say leave the rules as they are for this one. We can have a polite discussion on changing things later. To me these tournaments are just a way to nag some of my sons to go out with me. I am 0 for 7 in tournaments but the quality time with my adult sons at these events has been priceless. I may bring a grandson to this one. On another note, what do you guys want to eat this year? I brought the chow last year and i understand there was too much. Input please.

  2. I did a walleye webinar last week. It was through something called "zoom". I had to load an ap on my phone for it. It worked pretty good. For what it's worth i live only a half hour from the moose in Henrietta and have never made a meeting. I often plan on it but then i work 9 hours, walk the dog,eat dinner and then i'm done. I just can't stay up that late. I haven't been up past ten since I went out with Justin.

  3. Chatauqua marine told me black suicks in front of the marina was the hot setup. I don't like suicks but ten to fifteen fow in front of that marina is a good spot. Whatever bait you like enough to keep wet and keep working is what works there. post-142867-14602523964998_thumb.jpgthis 50 is the biggest i've seen there. My son caught it on a three inch gold redeye on my 60th birthday. Took him ten minutes of fishing. Kid doesn't even own a pole! Who knows with these critters?

  4. old man i fished that very spot this fall/winter one day on my way home from poor trib fishing. I didnt catch anything but slipped on a rock and darn near broke my leg. Looked like a good area but I had no luck I casted all around the area from many different spots

yeah, you can get hurt there. I can walk there from my house. If you don't get bit in 5 minutes they are not home. But when they are you can slay them.
  5. They don't drain the canal between Palmyra and Newark. Maybe that stability is why the fishing is so good there. I still shore fish the canal spillways in the fall for pike. Usually on Sunday when i can't watch the Bills anymore.post-142867-14583535896849_thumb.jpgthey will be lurking in areas protected from current near the waterfalls.

  6. I live on the canal in Palmyra. I don't fish it anymore since i got musky sick but i used to. Between Palmyra and Newark is pretty good for pike. You will catch more bass than pike for sure. I never trolled for them. I just stayed close to shore and cast. Both sides are good. There is a brand new ramp in Palmyra but no dock[emoji12]. There is a nice ramp with a dock by the Ford dealer near Newark. Wait til the season opens and good luck.
