Yah I have only been up around the islands it was early ice this year and didn't get any action but figured I needed to go back and try again, the water on the south end was real murky this weekend, way to cloudy for the toothy son of a b's to see bait more than 10" away. Tight lines bud

Well, fished Sodus today for the tourny and unfortunately didn't get into any tourny fish. However, my buddy and I had a banner day on the ice going 8 for 12 on pike ranging from 4 to 8.5 lbs, and iced about 15 decent perch, one of which was about a pound. Does anyone know what the 2nd and 3rd place pike weighed? I thought about keeping the 8.5 for weigh-in, but I caught it first thing in the morning and I figured I'd need one 10+ lbs, so I let it go. I got quite the workout today drilling holes through the 12"+ of hard, clear ice on the bay, so tomorrow is re-coop day...
Congrats to those who placed in the tourny!
Just curious where you catch Pike on the bay I have been out 4 times trying to catch toothy there and haven't even had a flag I must be in the wrong location

Nice, congrats on the great catch of tasty panners

No doubt, between the me and my buddy and the group we hung with we would have taken all of the prizes with our Conesus gators from Saturday

Thanks for the updates FK, hopefully we are going to have some of the perch action heat up nad the ice will start to clean off a bit

From the reports on iceshanty the snow is insane and its still coming, I guess slush is now a problem too, guys are ****ing but hey a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work

Anyone have any experience with the hub style pop up blinds they have out now? I was thinking of getting one instead of the sled style.

Nice, thanks man for the info. I may head north this weekend but if I stick around I will be there for sure, up north we always fish half our bait right below the ice the pike love to cruise the bottom of the ice, most of the strikes come from those sets.

Hey guy's I really started getting into hardwater last winter and being from the North love to fish the gators, I have never been out on B-bay and wouldn't know the first thing about wehre to start out there, is there a specific place to park head on to the ice etc.? I figure it must be obvious based on guys fishing but doesn't hurt to check with some guys who are having some luck. Would love to hook up and ice some with some guys someday. Any info would be a great help.

Anyone been out on Hemlock of canadice lately? Thinking of going this weekend for some bass curious on what they fancy
-
What were they hammering on Conesus? I have been hitting them good on Whacky worms and tubes on the bay
-
My old man was just south of A-Bay all week last week nad hammered down on the smallies but couldn't keep the pike of either, he always fishes 3-12' of water along the shore and he was throwing rapala stick baits, I guess hte dark colors worked the best. Good luck

Nice, seems to be a good number of tigers iced this year

Did you make it out saturday gambler? I was out Friday 10-5 ice a awesome 27" 7lb walleye, never had that happen but it was awesome. A few guys did good on pike early but the bite shut down around noon
-
Nice fish congrats

JR, just curious where you are having success with pike. I have been looking for a spot to hook up a few and so far have drawn nothing but blanks on Sodus, I-bay and Conesus although I know they are there jsut didn't have the luck that day. I never had a problem nailing them up norht but can't seem to get them around here. not looking for a secret spot just a body of water that holds some good gators around here

My buddy sand I were curious on the action on Canadice as well we will probably be there Saturday as well, might have to bring the shovel....

Has anyone fished this tourney before? Just curious on what to expect. Seems like everyone would have a fairly good shot since the area, type, and all others criteria are set for the teams.
