Check them out as an option for you to try. We all have recommendations of what we like to use.
You will find numerous posts on this site regarding your release question.

X2 on the Chamberlain, I have used many many releases over the past 40 years and in my opinion the adjustable operation of the Chamberlain is hard to beat. Tight to the rod release and light enough not to drag a 14" walleye

  2. Also good luck on riggers, never short 15'-20' though, may have to give that a try.

One way that really works great on eyes on riggers and will satisfy you friend with rod in hand.

Run leads at least 50' back drop the rigger to the bottom and pop it, hold on to rod, don't reel much, lift, drop, reel slow and WAM walleye on! The lures goes down, up, flutters differently and the attack mode kicks it

  3. I own a 1997 LOWE and it has an aluminum floor. I just removed all the carpet too, lifted the floor and added a little closed cell foam where it was light from the factory. Changed out the fuel and vent lines, checked out condition of tank and the framing of the boat, all good, and nice to see how it was made. Used large head pop rivets to put the floor back down, sealing everything for a water tight install, primed and ready for top coating.

I'm sure you could get a sheet of aluminum and never have to worry about a wood floor again. My boat does have marine wood blocking where the seats are mounted but thats it.

  4. western NY they have been gone for a long time now, sure you may be able to find one, but most days that 1 is a great day. 40 years ago me and a buddy would hunt them with no dog and get shots every time out. Hitting them was another story with no pointer at your side.

  5. another idea, find all dealers within a reasonable amount of travel and ask them if and when they have any boats coming in, so you can be sure to get a ride back. Or go back to the manufacture and ask them for their scheduled deliveries, maybe a worst case you would have to travel a bit to get your boat on a ride back. Last resolve bite the bullet deliver it yourself and back charge them for your expense.

  6. $600 OBO. $550, $500

I have 2, work as they should.

4' booms, one has new cable last year, both have new clutches last year. Both have new shortstop control boards. Cannon ball retriever lines

High bases lock in a 0-45-90-180-270 with aluminum backer plates, 2 10# cannon balls, covers,  parts and operation manual.

Add your favorite release and Fish on!

Only reason for selling is looking to change, I am the original owner.

I’m bringing him 14 reels tomorrow. He’s still in business.

He fixed a cannon for me maybe 5 years ago and told me he was retiring, great to see he stayed with it. Very nice guy, I first did business with him over 30 years ago when he was on Niagara st in Buffalo
