  1. Flea's are all but gone. Blue's and green. Best info I can give you is head south at least beyond Poplar Beach to get out of the floating weeds from the harvester working the north end the past week and a half. It's worth the time to run the area you plan to troll first just to scout out the weeds. LJ

    Cayuga 8/6/13

Caught my second and third bullhead this year on across the lake from long point on Monday. Funny thing about that is I had 5 young men on board ages 9-11 from my camp and with all the fish we caught the 2 bullhead turned out to be the most useful. The boys are always catching them in the marina but I was unaware no one ever taught them how to take them off the hook. So they worked out to be a nice little teaching tool.
  3. I bought it directly from the blood run website. Had it in 3 days. Worth every single penny and it not that costly to begin with. First day I used it I drop a rigger down 130' and let it soak for an hour just to see if it lived up to the hype and I'm very happy to say that it did. I had a half inch of fleas just at the swivel, great stuff. Mark

  6. Interesting how much time and money we all spend to target one species just to have a surprise on the line. Fishing not catching I guess. Wouldn't have any other way. Best of luck to all!
  7. So I just thought I'd share this photo. Over the years I've caught perch bass pickerel and even a blue gill but this was my first bull head trolling. It was suspended at 30' over 125. Anybody else ever pick one up trolling?
  8. SOOOOO I'm lost,,,,, is this happening this weekend now? I'm thinking that I out for this year at least. Good luck to everyone this weekend OR next whenever this goes down. L J
  9. Selling a very clean 23' 1987 Grady White. 230 HP I/O (400hrs) w/ a Mercury 9.9 kicker. This boat has new canvas all around, cuddy cabin, Lowrance finder, spare prop, four electric Cannon riggers and sits on a shore Lander trailer. This rig will handle some big water for a 23' boat but is easy to get up and down the road. I'm listing this for a friend even thou I think he's nuts to get rid of it. Please call Harry at (607)-222-7691 with any questions or to view the boat. Boat is located in Binghamton, NY. $11000 or B/O
  10. I'm in Scott, like the idea of a box type weigh in. Looking forward to it.
  11. I think for the most part 68 is the channel of choice, I know that's what I stay on day in and day out. If everyone wanted to pick a different channel for the derby I'll be on it. LJ
  12. You "uess it was a great day fishing"???? If you have any doubt at all just take a look at the faces of those to young men standing by your boat. I think it's safe to say you had a great day. Always good to see the next generation enjoying a day out fishing. LJ
