  1. True that Paul.

Jimmy, I have fished with Paul and he's a very knowledgeable captain that I look up to ( he's taller than me) and I consider a good friend. You will learn a lot from him.  I have not had the pleasure of fishing with Greg, but hopefully some day. It will be a fun and informative class !!

I can't wait.  I look forward to this weekend every year.  I end up buying a ton of tackle both new and used.  It's a great time seeing old friends and making new ones and gets you excited for the spring time to get here and get out on the lake.

  2. Patriot,

I have been wanting to get one of these for a long time. Thank you for the heads up.  My wife just ordered me the X4D through Paypal. If you are the LOTSA show, introduce yourself so I can buy you lunch.  No more having to rely on cable hum, cable angle, rod angle and thumper rod bounce.  I'm moving up in the world with the big boys now.

    Jim

  3. I have not decided yet Jim,  I have a lot planned this winter already.

    Rod,

Don't wait till the last minute because it's going to fill up. For what you would spend for the price of three large pizzas, you could go to the LOTSA school.  What a deal.

    It's a great time.

It helps break up the winter.

You get to see a lot of old friends and make new ones.

You're going to learn new tips and tactics that you can use.  "The key to fishing success is knowledge" Buck Perry

For the price, you get a goody bag, a great lunch and you are automatically enrolled as a LOTSA member.

There is going to be deals on new and used tackle.

Like they say, you can never have enough tackle.

    JUST DO IT.

  4. Two years ago I won an Okuma four piece rod and a center pin reel and I have never used them.  They are both brand new and I haven't bought line for the reel yet.  Between ice fishing and rabbit hunting in the winter, I don't think I need another hobby to get into.  I have spent so much money on salmon tackle, boat equipment and trolling gear and everything else, I don't need another expense.  My wife has no idea how much money I have tied up in fishing.

  5. I saw the border patrol hanging out there today in the overflow parking lot.  What a waste of taxpayer money. Instead of watching a handful of fisherman in the middle of Lake Ontario they should be somewhere else looking for ISIS.

If it keeps the scumbags from breaking into vehicles in the parking lot while we are out in the lake, I like seeing them there.  The ramp is quite a distance from the parking lot and there have been vehicles broken into in the past.

  6.  Tom,

Congratulations to you and to Stephanie on her big brown, you two deserve it and thanks for everything you do for the fishery.  Thanks again for all the fun at the Oak last month.  If I ever get out to the Oswego area, I'll be sure to bring the raspberry jelly doughnuts.

    Take care,

    Jim

  7. I have to admit Jimmy you were a blast, first time that I was EVER involved ~AND I MEAN EVER~ involved in a team meeting (on day 2) that informed of checking rods more often, sharpening hooks, keeping head and spirits in the game etc etc etc THAT WAS HOSTED BY THE OBSERVER !!!

WOW !!! I'm not so sure Vince would have welcomed your authoritative words so receptively LMAO !!!

Great time and great memories were made at my teams visit to the Oak, and I'll tell you what, after playing this game for almost 20 years there truly is always room for added fun, but fair warning Jimmy be a bit careful with all your sincere advice next time you observe during your next outing (: :yes::o

    Tom

You have to admit, we did get hook ups after sharpening the hooks.   And we ate good too.

  8. I told Tom, Steph, Eric and Holly the story of my first time observing and how you spent about 1,300.00 bucks not including food and lodging.  When I told them about the look on your face and how your jaw dropped when I pulled out that big banana at the end of the day, they just about pissed their pants laughing.  All in all, we had a lot of fun.  I think we all gained a few pounds those two days.  They were a great crew.

  9. Utter Superstitious nonsense.

Though, Paul Czarnecki would dispute that most vehemently, Right Jimmy?? :)

    ii

I think I cost him about 1500.00 bucks that day. It's funny how word spreads across the entire lake. Even the boys in Canada were laughing about it. Sorry Paul. If I had been observing for you last year, things may have been different. I was observing on Pacific Time for WHI and my wife and kids had been praying hard that day that the boat I was on would win. They came in first place.
