with the NW wind over the wknd there was about 2" of water over the concrete walks

we had 3 to 5 ftrs in mexico bay this morning (my favorite salmon chop )....managed 2 kings biggest was 22 lbs and 1 laker.....covered 110-180 fow......all paddle and fly bite today

4 ftrs is perfect for salmon fishing......bring it on

too many adjustments to go through to get split zoom screen.......1 touch on my lowrance and good to go

these things are getting way out of hand with technology just like so called smart phones

I got the helix 7 chirp with gps.....not crazy about it

just put a lowrance  elite 7 on also

probably use the bird for gps only or end up selling it

okuma magda are best for the money......got 2 ive used for 10 yrs now without issue

I have tried the pricier reels ( saltists )  (squalls )   ( tekota's) (coldwatwers)

never been impressed by any of them considering the price difference

in the past 15 yrs ive had 2 of the okumas that the line counter stopped working...with having 20-25 rods on the boat that's not bad odds

don't know if its near the same but I have an LCX25c

I run 15# mono backer (400' )....then how ever many colors of core then 50' of 10# mono leader

I usually keep 2 each of  1....2.....3....5....and 10 colors on the boat

was just informed its cancelled due to high water

lake is accessible.....fishing is getting better each week on east end

as for the LOC.....they don't recognize a solo fisherman (woman) so that leaves myself and many others out of it
