I just had two mini horses followed by a little girl come through the hardwoods where I was planning to ambush the big dog. The girls parents were in the brush and they were all yelling. The horses had gotten loose a few days ago and they were trying to wrangle them up. So I decided to pack up and head to the truck so I could hunt the other side of the property on the edge of the bean field. While I was chatting with the homeowner in her driveway, wouldn't you know, one of the bucks I've been after, a wide, semi tall 10 pt comes blasting out of the brush not 70 yds from us and crosses the road, running across a cut bean field and into the next patch of woods. FML!!! Yet here I am sitting in my stand waiting for nothing to happen. I can't wait for ice!!!

Should've of offered to help wrangle up them horses and maybe Karma would come your way......Just sayin'.  At least you know that semi tall 10 pt. is still runnin'.

My son had surgery yesterday at 11 months, my wife seeing how stressed it made for up this morning and said why don't you go hunting, 15 mins later I am out the door. Get to my camera by my best stand and go to pull the card me you guessed it. GONE. Would love to catch the he k who did this .Probably found few pics since I pulled the camera only days earlier and this guy was on it. IMG_1479472598.650157.jpgit.

Good to hear. Thanks for the post. I have a Trophy with rack and pinion steering. Lowrance is the only choice I have for an autopilot. Looks like I'm going to bite the bullet and make the purchase. I do a lot of solo fishing. It sure would make things a lot easier.

We fished yesterday out of SP and just picked at them....... One spot we fished, we landed 10 bass in 60 FOW......... Seemed weird to me that bass would be that deep.... is that common?

It's not uncommon at all to find bass that deep or deeper. Bass are irritating when you are perch fishing....IMO.

Nice catch. If you keep your inline board rod tips higher you will get more distance from the boat.
