Red can and the bar refer to the niagara bar about 35 miles west of the oak. You would head out of fort Niagara or Wilson to fish there. The windmills are usually a Lake Erie reference.

Two face with powder blue glow fly was stud. Went non stop and even got smacked while deploying a few times. Best king oddly enough came on a glow frog spoon fixed cheater out of temp.

Quick report... Fished this morning from 6-11 solo. Beautiful morning. Went 17/19. 4 matures, bunch of 2 year olds, couple skippy's, 1 steelhead. Dipsys out 220-240 were hot with FF. Only two spoon bites on the riggers. Sorry no pics, fishing solo I don't mess around to much and handle the fish as little as possible. Fished 120-320. 200-275 was best for me. Fishing was hot till 9 then slowed a bit but had a couple quality bites from 9-11. Rarely had three rods in. Good times. Hopefully the east wind the next couple days doesn't mess things up to much. We'll see.

Funny how we have to jump through hoops and the Canadiens coming in to fish American water don't have to do anything.

I guess my mistake was starting to fish lake o a couple years ago. It makes it tough to pick a lake some days but can't help but appreciate how lucky we are.

I'd consider myself fairly young and in good shape and if the fishings good you'll never even keep 3 rods in the water. Last week fishing solo off Wilson I got my 2 riggers set and my diver rod sat there ready to go for two hours. 2 riggers kept me plenty busy.

Lot of boats working 75-100 this morning. We stayed out in 150-200. Less traffic and did pretty well.

What will the hard west wind do to the lake setup? Did well Thursday. May come up in the AM.

Fished solo today. 1 rigger with spoon and fixed slider. 1 rigger with FF. Wire dipsy with FF. Went 7/10 kings, steelhead, and an atlantic.

What's still available?

Does anybody run them up high with spoons for steelhead in the summer? I fish solo a lot. Right now I have one wire setup. Not sure if I want to rig another or keep a mono dipsy rod handy for chrome. Maybe just bite the bullet and setup another wire diver to have on hand if they're hot and have the mono in case they're not.

Sounds like Canadien water is still fishing very good. Hopefully they'll head east eventually.

I had the best luck with the deep cycles from Wally World.

Well today I dropped the probe down about 5 feet. Had 2.4 on the gps and 1.5 on subtroll. Great action on spoons so 1.5-1.75 on probe seemed to be my sweet spot. Only had 4 shots today but not sure it was speed related based on some other reports. Plus we caught a few nice kings.

If by pike you mean yellow pike. Dandy eye either way.
