My livewell and washdown pumps have screens on them under a plastic cap that unscrew for cleaning. I have quick disconnects on hoses also. With everything removed, I bump both switches to clear any residual water. Everything else gravity drains.

Lucky. Those quotes you posted from Steve Lapan while you were "listening" were in the printed handout.

I asked the same question back in June. There are a few opinions posted in the Questions about Trout & Salmon Trolling topic.
Jerryriggin posted some great comments about his experience with them. I ordered one in June to try it out. Really impressed with the quality. 140 fpm speed was just right. The clutch system worked well with 16lb shark. It does require yearly lube with was included. Motor super quiet. I wish it came with cord caps though. After fretting about it for two weeks, I shipped it back and bought 2 Pro Scottys. On my 25 ft boat with a 8 ft 10 in beam they take up a lot of space. Easily twice as big as the MM's. We'll see how next season goes with them. I would not hesitate to make another change.

Star Brite Non-skid deck cleaner. I get it at Wal-Mart.

Hans. Sorry to see Upgrady for sale but glad to hear you're still going to be trolling. 10 meter Trojan next?

Great recommendation. Watched 2 episodes last night. Editing top notch. Interesting to hear the business angle for each boat.
Much more realistic than the Wicked show

When referring to winds, my two all time favorite words are"light and variable".

Maybe not whacking it with your mini Louisville Slugger would have helpedFishing yesterday and we boated a 7lb bt and my client says there is a tag on this fish, of course after i took care of it to get the hook out. I scratch the slime off and it says; Let me live with a phone # from Windsor C.A. sorry to late. Actually felt bad, because we had a awesome bite going on. I call the # and a sarah answers and we talk about what just went on with this fish. Come to find out this brown was tagged off the Niagara Bar in april and it was in rochester. I sent the transmitter back to get the details. Here i thought the browns were not roamers,,,,,,,
it get to 8lbs. [emoji1] [emoji41]

I have a 627 and the scrolling speed definitely changes the shape of the fish. The default speed is #1.
NymphO's idea works to improve your screen also or if you're fishing the top 75 FOW go to manual range and set it to look at 90-100 ft. Improves the look on the smaller screen units

Where can I get these locally. Their website chart shows these going down to 100'. I want to try them out. I called BE Fishing and Tackle and they do not carry them.
Check your PM

Are you sure it was fireworks and not someone cooking on a grill on or next to the boats and a fire started in the grill and it got away from them? If so the one with the most damage was probably closest and may hold a clue as to the location or identity perpetrator (s)?
Definitely fireworks from shore is what I was told. Bad element down there at night

Very sorry to hear it was your boat. I heard about it early Thurs AM and was hoping there was no serious damage to anyone's boat. Hopefully insurance will get you back on the fish soon.

My son was out of Braddocks today and he said there here. It was nice while it lasted, hate em.
We thought it was fleas we were dealing with on Friday out of I-Bay when actually its cottonwood clumps sticking to the line. Very hard to pick off but no odor like fleas. It had a greenish color to it from being in the water awhile. Fleas will be along when water warms

Sutters in Canandaigua has certified Yamaha technicians. Have used them for PM service. I troll with a 2009 250 HP and also use Ring Free at every fueling. 1800 hrs and going strong

Anybody have any opinions on the Magnum Metalz downriggers. I'm shopping for new riggers. They have all the features I'm looking for and a reasonable price. Got a good write up in GLA Magazine.

Our experience is you can run leadcore in a Scooty release but not far at all from the boat cause of the sag in the line running to the release. Copper is even worse.

Tuna Tom's reel repair suggests about a 100ft of heavier mono. 40 or 50 lb.

That's why we fish, for a catch like that. Congrats

I normally would say to try around Ginna Nuke plant in Ontario, but It is shut down for refueling and has no warm water discharge. Anywhere along the Wayne Co. shoreline would be good following Rolmops suggestions
