  1. I’m thinking of doing the same thing. Looking for a reasonably good digital scale to back up the Boga. One that reads on the light side of course. 😋
  2. Left I-Bay 0615 and ran east towards Webster Park to get ahead of the pack. Set up in 15ft looking for a derby brown. Got a few in that 12-30 ft range but NOTHING close to 10lb. Trolled to Ginna, turned around and moved out. Had a good pick of teenagers and one bow in 50-60 ft when just east of Hedges the 7 color fires and we land a king that the Boga Grip scale says just over 20lb. Now it’s 1:40, we’re about 8 miles from the dock and the ONLY Monroe Co. weigh sta closes at 3PM. Start clearing 5 lines, while bringing in the 5 color it gets hit. 250 ft run and 20 minutes later land a foul hooked 19lb. I’m whooped. We made it to the Charlotte weigh sta at 2:50 and the scale says 19lb 13oz. F*#!%!. Looking forward to the summer derby and the Monroe Co. Classic.
  3. All good points Brian. And only one weigh station in Monroe Co that closes at 3PM

  15. A good place to start would be to drop your probe down to the bottom in 50ft and look for 55-60 deg. If still too warm move out until you find a good difference from surface temp. Set up and work your spoons in that 55-65 deg water
  16. In 2025, the Rome Fish Hatchery in New York will be transforming, and the broodstock will be completely converted to the new "Romiskany" strain of brown trout. Stocking in 2026 will consist entirely of this new strain. However, traditional stocking targets for brown trout in 2025 will still be met using the current strain, with 480,000 fish planned.
  17. Didn’t see one outta I-Bay today all the way to Webster park. Strange
  18. It may eventually happen Brian, as we have 2 already just not installed. IMO, right now the feedings are a social thing for many of the volunteers who bring the kids down. I know I enjoy the feedings and I haven’t been a kid since Eisenhower was president. 😋
  19. The salmon were delivered on Wednesday to Shumway Marine. Posted below is the feeding schedule, and anyone wanting to get on the list can text Randy Calus at 585-739-0569. The feeding involves 1 bag per pen spread evenly over the pen. Write on the clipboard your name at your feeding time. Any questions you can call or text me at 585-743-7337. Kevin
  20. This is held at the ferry terminal building in Charlotte, on the Genesee River. There are still spots available, so check the basement and the garage for some fishing stuff no longer needed. Give Bruce a call to reserve your spot, and as a reminder it’s bring your own table. 🐟🐟
  21. And if the lake level doesn’t get close to the long term average it’s going to be even worse. All the Great Lakes are low right now with Ontario the lowest since 2003.
