  1. Great job to everyone involved! Everyone deserves a pat on the back for such a good thing they are doing! Solgrande and many others will have plenty of good karma come next fishing season!
  2. Did a little bowhunting in Monroe Co. Oct 12th. Got to go back to Illinois for a few days, its where I am from. If I lived down there, no way I would have shot this deer but I have gotten tired of coming home empty handed. and I even got to do a little musky fishing
  3. What do ya day about passing it on after that? I would be down for a good read and then pass it on. Ole Man is a good dude, very nice buddy!
  4. I made a special bait for this and IMO think its neat, I did a good size run of foils for Chris Haley in Kentucky who makes the Widowmaker Jerkbaits and one of these is what I will throw down. I have a foiled crappie with swiveling flashabou fins (super custom) that I am throwing down. It is a one of a kind bait and hopefully it helps out people in need after this tragedy, only one like it ever made so if you like it............ I can tell you that Chris Haley is charging $60 each just for the smaller jerkbaits (the big ones cost some change!). "Bobby boy"- do I mail it to you or what homey? LMK. I wish I had a few more to donate but I am 100% sold out, I seem to have a following with a few guys that call me about once a month and ask me what I have laying around and buy any and all baits I have. I may post a pic on here, idk. I try to stay off the radar and enjoy baitmaking so much more. Good job "Sol", I can say that it was a 4 hour "Kentucky Apple-Pie Moonshine" inspired paint job on this bait, man- that stuff will make a person blind!
  5. Sounds just like what we need Mike, if everyone wants to bring a couple extra bucks with them- we will have a lure fundraiser also to get the fund going. Anyone have any extras baits they wanna bring?
  6. Good seeing some of the guys last night. Next meeting should be fun, hope that everyone can bring a friend to get the #'s up.
  7. Thanks for the hard work Nitro- this week I am going to get more mahogany and will attempt to make a few baits to get us going with the fundraiser. This is the new shallow 7.5".
  8. Just wanted to show off a pic sent to me from yesterday 7/31/2012. This guy also got the 2nd largest registered musky last year on Chautauqua according to Muskie Inc records on one of my plugs. This pic looks very close to the one he sent me last year but this fish is way more "gold".
  9. Wow- sorry bout that, unless they strip down the rods- those decals with your name on it wont come off. Someone will find out something but it may take a little bit of time. I think a choke hold is in order for that person when we find them though.
  10. Sorry to miss it. I play "ole man" baseball and we had a playoff game Wednesday so I missed the meeting even though I wanted to be there. I am sure I can get a bait or two in addition to the baits the ever helpful Solgrande rounds up to add to the auction. I have wanted to do this but I wasnt sure where the money would go? Is it for the baitfish or for the club? Wish I would have been there but.... next time! Good job guys getting it going!
  11. I talked with a guy from PA yesterday when he was out on the lake- did 4 fish in the morning up to 39" in the south end on a Foiled Perch Baker Bait if that helps. If your just looking to get a fish- go south and troll @ 4.5mph. North End has been tough but it can be done. Stop into the Happy Hooker and ask for a Baker Bait and go south IMO. Also for the tourney that was just there- Wiley did good on the small deep diver Wileys in Walleye and $9 Bass but your not gonna find those for sale at any shop on that lake, my baits also caught a few. Best luck and go catch us something, low light conditions were the best. Also try just south of the bridge, there are always fish at that spot.
  12. Make a twitch bait outta it and you get that extra "hang time" that other woods cant come close to. Good luck Panfisher!
  13. Use up that wood! Not the best for a casting bait but when trolling the extra density of mahogany really shines through. Chop it up and post some pics bud!
  14. Here are a couple of recent baits I have made outta Mahogany- the mahogany's run faster than any I have made before, its good wood! Ultra Voilet Blue Perch Silver Perch Foil- this color let Blueye, Nalod and me cash a check at the last tourney on Chautauqua.
  15. When I last spoke to Jay Zahn he said Toothman is the contact and all info is going to him. I never received anything yet so...
  16. You know you can count on me to make a lure drop. Can't promise as many as last June but will get some, I do know a guy who makes some lures and I will talk to him to see if he wants in. He's a weirdo though and timing is everything with him.
  17. That pike is not as big as I have seen. When taking my Ma's old white poodle for a swim in long Pond a few years ago over the summer, one 2x that size took her down. Thinking back that fish had to be at least 7 feet long, just wish white wasn't the hot color that day? Man I miss that dog! But there are bigger in Long Pond, my drunk uncles cousin saw on even bigger. His was even bigger than the boat he was in.
  18. I will contact HQ and tell them they have the interest needed for this.
