  1. in my opinion, we should stock more lakers and atlantics. keep the kings browns and steelhead the same. that would be my opinion but either way the stocking has been cut here and there over the last 10 years and it hasnt been replaced by anything else. it is time for something.

  2. another thing i seen this guy do is counter steer while the prop is out of the water. thats a big no no. its not a dirt car, its a boat. counter steering while the prop is out of water is a bad thing. people dont realize how much different the physics of a boat are different from a 4 wheel vehicle. stupidity came first but if ever in this situation, hold your ground firm and ride out. NO COUNTER STEER!!

  3. cmon landshark where else would you go to battle 30 mph winds everysingle year?!?!? gota keep up on the traditions! see ya out here i hope. it should be a good strong year for the eyes here.

  4. Don't even pick them up out of the water. I know you guys like to take pics but try to be carefull. Be ready with the camera . Pull it up , take the pick & get him back. I don't even bring my camara anymore. Not to say I don't take a pic once in a while. I & whoever comes with me knows what we caught. The images are forever photo albumed in my mind.

    +1

  5. if you have to be on shore then try the canal at the west end. east end stinks for big catfish. there used to be a spot on the north shore of oneida but it since, like everything else, has been posted up heavey. please release the big ones, it takes about 20 years to grow a fish like that. keep a few and that will dwindle the fishery down i can garantee that. everyone who fishes oneida is all about walleye, walleye, walleye, wich is oneidas premeir fishery, but many quality fisherys are on oneida besides just walleye. i have caught some bruiser pike in oneida too. dont hear about many people catching them but oddly enough ther are many many huge pike in oneida. its odd nobody fishes for them either. 35-45 inchers are very common. i would expect at least a 40 incher every day out while targeting them. the old perch under the bobber trick works everytime.

  6. oneida lakes rocky points draw monster cats at night. they get active at about 11:00 pm and it starts whene the water get up to 72 degrees in summer. HUGE cats! make you scared to sit on the toilet after you see these things. not too many people know about it. crayfish or large pike minnows are my top bait...not chicken livers though youll only catch small ones on stinky stuff. live bait takes the big ones.

  7. they hurl themselves up outa the water and crash down like a sandbag from a helicopter before you even know there on. i told you guys i like atlantics. somebody is telling me something i think. bolth fish went over 10 lbs. i think the big one was pusing 15 but i just had to put them back i couldnt bring myself to keep or weigh them. somebody should really slap me for not having measureing the big one for a mount. honestly i get more satisfaction from catching atlantics of that quality than a musky despite the lore on muskys. i only go after muskys because i can. these LO atlantics are a true challenge and ive set them as an ultimate goal and i smashed it first day out in 2010!!! its like a miracle for my stadards of fishing. only thing left for me is sturgeon.
