  1. A steelhead with a black mouth and white gums .. hmm interesting LoL
  2. It took the magic touch of a skilled mariner at the helm to get that bite going Every damn time I touched that wheel, Fish On!!
  3. Sounds good. I will likely be there both days and fishing thursday as well. Thanks again
  4. I'll take it. I work nights so I can meet you there any day any time. You name it I'll be there. Thanks a lot.
  5. Does anyone have a working 840 probe they wish to part with for a reasonable price? Mine decided to take on water and is currently inop. I know they have them online for $149 but I thought I'd try local first. Send me a pm or even faster an email [email protected] Thanks Chris
  6. Steve I'm usually on ch 72 unless I'm listening to the fishing reports on ch 8. Holler anytime, I'm always up for exchanging strategy and conditions. The new lower unit is perfect so far, thanks for asking. Chris PS Just in case none of you Sandy guys knew, the yacht club has a live web cam now. Its not great but you can see the outlet and the wind direction on the flag.
  7. Steve I feel your pain very much. With the favorable marine forecast and weather as of midnight last night I was looking forward to an early morning out on the lake. I live on the lake so I was awakened by that pretty intense thunderstorm about 5am and walked outside and I was greeted by the 15kt NE wind and white caps and a big ole WTF came out of my mouth.. I was ready to use the nearest meteorologist as a drift sock.. I sent my fishing party a video and they quickly canceled LoL
  8. Both the batteries in my Trophy are due for replacement this year and I noticed Wal Mart has an 850amp Deep Cycle Marine Battery cheap!! (Everstart Maxx) Has anyone tried these and if so are they any good? I'm not trying to be cheap, just smart shopping.
  9. I'd be right with ya docked at Braddocks if someone pulls thier heads out of their arses.. Its such a shame. I remember that marina full of 30+ yachts when I was a kid.
  10. Oh Yeah I'm off all week so I'll probably see you at the marina
  11. Thanks Steve, actually she's running quite well now. Just putting a few hours on the new outdrive. I hope the mast is workin for ya and I look forward to your report. Chris
  12. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Flash Point ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):5/28/10 Time on Water: 0800-1215 Weather/Temp: Overcast 68' Wind Speed/Direction: 8-12mph NE Waves: 1-3ft Surface Temp: 62; Location: Between Sandy and Devils Nose LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 2 Total Boated:2 Species Breakdown: 1 Coho / 1 Laker Hot Lure: Green Splatter Spin Dr A-TOM-MIK Aqua / NK Purple Thunder w/ glow ladder Trolling Speed: 2.0-2.7mph Down Speed: Probe still dead Boat Depth: 90-115fow Lure Depth: 35ft / 95ft ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Slow Morning, about half a dozen boats betwen Sandy and The Pump Station so we kept heading west to beat the traffic. Finally hooked up on the Coho about 11am off Hamlin Beach Then shortly after a small Laker by Devils Nose. The wind started shift east and we came back in 2-3 footers. Marked Lakers through out the morning but almost none of the upper marks we were seeing yesterday. The fish slaying lead core/bleeding olive combo from yesterday washed lures all day.
  13. Atlantic or coho? (Sorry I've been a shore fisherman most of my life until the last few years)
  14. That probably is then.. The heavy scales and the colors had me in doubt as I'm not used to the spring fishing yet.

Green Splatter Spin Doctor/A-TOM-IK Aqua fly took 1 Trolling Speed: 2.5-3mph Down Speed: Probe isn't cooperating Boat Depth: 85-110fow Lure Depth: 30-50ft ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== The biggest of the bunch put on a spectacular aerial show. Beautiful day to be on the water. Just enough breeze to keep the bugs and the sweat off and make a light chop. We marked a lot of Lakers at the bottom but they wouldn't take ANYTHING i threw at em. A fair amount of fish marked in the 30-50ft range
  16. Good catch guys.. I'd never even heard of a Gizzard Shad.. Back to school for me I guess.
  17. Disregard my last. I guess I was thinking of older Mag 5's
  18. Maybe its just me but isnt a Mag 5 a little/lot underpowered for a 13lb weight? I hope it works out.
  19. Looks to me like a young Sheepshead aka Freshwater Drum.
  20. Make me an offer.. It needs to go. I have a new outdrive coming friday and it wasn't cheap
  21. I've been through the marina canal several time already. No issues but I did register a spot at 2.5ft on the sounder which gave me a little pucker factor. Sandy is good all the way out. The state launch seems real shallow but I'm seeing good sized boats get out. The marina launch actually wasn't horrible. By the way I have 3 1/2 - 4ft at my dock
