  3. If you have a boat with flush mount rod holders and find them of no use except for putting a rod in while running to your spot. I have a holder that drops in and locks in the gimbal pin, so you can use it for your dipseys or to widen a flatlining spread. They come in two models, a basic "T" that puts your rod straight out at a 90° over the water, and a model that has a 15° upward angle and a ring to attach a safety lanyard. Both are made of 1/8" thick aluminum tubing, are lined with a PVC tube to further protect your rod, and powder coated with epoxy paint to give you a long lasting finish. 4. Nice job. Just out of couriousity, are you using a jigging outfit that you would use for saltwater butterfly jigging with metered braid? Just wondering because I have 4 for yellowfin tuna, but they would definitely be a little on the heavy side for Kings.

  19. I'm setting up my new boat and picked up a dual planner mast and now i'm debateting on which way to go. I have noticed over the past several years alot of tree or vertical rod holders on the market. I can see where you would pick up alot of valuble gunwhale space. but is there a functional superiority over the horizonal setups or is it just the space savings ?
