  1. I just had a Revelation.......I think you can add a different "tongue" on this trailer and accomodate a much larger boat than what I have on it ........in fact now I think I remember going with a shorter tongue......its only a couple of bolts and your off to the races .........JUST FYI. Its standard 3x4 angular steel so it should be straight forward. I can't believe I just remembered this as multiple folks wanted the trailer but it wasn't quite long enough but it had the GVW and axles they needed.
  2. OK - sorry for the delay - having some technology related issues - I measured the trailer tonight - I have a 20FT boat on it now but is a "big" 20 ft - the model number of the trailer is a 2248TB and has a GVW of 4800 ..........I have the 20 ft boat on it and the front part where the crank is can move forward another 12 inches or so to accommodate a larger boat. The TOTAL length of the trailer is 22ft from tip to tail .........but boats are different sizes even though they say 21 or 22 or 20 etc. Its confusing to say the least. It is a very beefy trailer .........as you can tell with a GVW of 4800. Dual axles and they are kinda beefy too ...........I replaced this boat/trailer with a 22FT Aquasport and the trailer on that boat is no where near is beefy as this one. I don't have it near me or I could measure it. But I can tell you the Aquasport is a much bigger boat than the Grady even though they only have 2ft of difference. Here are pics of trailer and boat. My cell is on the blink so if you want to call me call my other number at 585-582-3066
  3. very beefy trailer - would fit a 21ft maybe 22 - no more (I have had several folks want the trailer for boats over 22ft)- it has bunks. There is a boat on the trailer now that either needs work or it needs to go the "yard" - I can take it there but hate to do so if someone is handy, I hate to throw away a boat. Its a 19.5ft Grady White, closed bow - needs floor work, seats, a little transom work, and an engine - It has been a great boat so I am struggling dropping it off in the grave yard. All four tires are in good shape and I do have a spare. Call Dave 585-233-1103
  4. I appreciate the offer but I have time and not quite ready to take that 500 for the package. I believe its worth more than that - I had someone look at it yesterday and the trailer was a little short - the person that looked at it said it was worth the thousand bucks but not to him due to the length of the trailer. He was not interested in the boat. Thanks much
  5. Boat and trailer are ready to go ............2/6/2011 - looking for best offer for both -boat needs quite a bit of work but its a free project boat to who wants it. The hull is in great shape .........the transom and floor needs work. Trailer is 1996 Yacht Club, dual axle, bunks, and spare - all in pretty good shape. Trailer is over sized for the boat so it can handle a bigger unit. Comes with cover and about 10 gallons of gas, which is worth almost 40 bucks these days !!! Oh yea, and its got a new steering wheel, helm, cable, etc which cost me 400 bucks last spring.
  6. Two Pics added ..............the outside is in great shape .......its the transom and interior that needs the work - not bad for free though. I have to get 800 bucks for the trailer.
  7. Went on Saturday out of Severne - launch was in pretty good shape but it was snow covered- did about 50 Perch with 45 keepers in 3 hours on fatheads in the afternoon- cold but tolerable due to low winds. Hit snow squalls on the way home to Honeoye Falls which was a little hair raising. Boat should thaw out sometime in May. Saw only one other boat fishing - quite a few gun shots so we know there were folks hunting birds not too far away. Flanman
  8. We had a unexpected death in the neighborhood between the holidays so it put a damper on things ..........the boat is at my neighbors house behind mine so give me a couple days to get my act together and get this pics on line. Sorry for the delay.
  9. Let me wait till next week after the holiday and I will go take some pics of the boat. It will probably be Wednesday.
  10. According to my marine mechanic, the transom needs some work ............so the boat is free to someone who is very handy with such things or wants to strip the boat down. Its in Honoeye Falls now ............my issue is the trailer is in fairly good shape. 1996 Yacht Club, dual axle, lights work, etc. Bunks.........I want 900 bucks for the trailer ..........paid 2,500 for it.
  11. I will have to get some pics - the boat is in Lewiston but coming to Honeoye Falls between XMAS and New Years.
  12. Comes with 1996 Yacht Club trailer .....dual axle, bunks. The hull is in good shape but the inside needs some work. No motor.......needs outboard. Very sea worthy. BO Call Dave 585-233-1103
  13. I have a 1999 Johnson 200 HP 2 stroke for sale - runs well - I don't need it as I just had a Honda rebuilt under warranty and I am in the process of having them swapped. 1,200 dollars - firm - its probably worth a lot more than that but I need to get rid of it as I don't have a place to store the motor. It needs to be picked up in Lewiston as I have no way of transporting it. If interested - call 585-233-1103 - I might be able to wait until March or April to do this as Power Rite might not do the job until then.
  14. Thanks to all - will check them out - this is a big help
  15. I have an old 1977 19.5 Grady that has served me very well over the last 15 years but its getting tired. I have a 2000 Honda 130 on the back that was just completely rebuilt by Honda last year under warranty for a cracked head (the thing was 9.5 years old, I couldn't believe it) ......so I have a 10 year old brand new motor..........my cousin has a 1999 21.5ft Aquasport Osprey that has a Johnson with a questionable future. I am looking for a shop somewhere within 60 miles of Rochester that would be well suited for this kind of work (moving the Honda to the Aquasport). The steering is different on the boats as is the control box so its not super straight forward. The skeg length is the same as is the bolt pattern into the stern. I heard there was a shop that specializes in boat restoration/boat repair between Roch and Syracuse but I don't know the name off hand. I would like to get the work done somewhere in late October. Does anyone have any ideas on where to go for this sort of work? THANKS

  17. This is insane and it should be a lot more than just lake front owners and fishermen getting upset. Sailors and naturalists as well not to mention anyone who wants to preserve our Great Lakes. There are hundreds and hundreds of cheap acres all in Niagara and Orleans counties that are underdeveloped. Give me one example of where this worked ........the real estate is finally coming back out there .........what are the towns going to do when the lake home values plummet and their tax base erodes to nothing? Who the heck wants to pay 8K in taxes to what a sunset through a bunch of pulsating blades? Another stupid move by NYS........about as stupid as using our tax money to put trailers outside of prisons so the inmates can have conjugal visits. Look it up ......its true........800K for two trailers in Romulus. I will be there ............we need to be heard. Enough is enough. Flanman
