  1. I fish a lot alone out of a 14 ft row boat. I know the feeling of a tight budget from the boss. I use 2 Seth green rigs on meat rods. Catch tons of fish. Yes I know the 2 pound weight takes a lot of the fight and fun out. Lakers are not big fighters anyway. Gives ya up to 10 spoons in the water as well.

  2. We fished in a small derbie yesterday of 30 people. Did quite well. 11 rainbows and just one Laker. Biggest rainbow and the Laker were both around6 &a half pounds. Our team ended up with lunker and 2 overall total weight of 3 fish. Did all rainbow in a stretch just before cooks point 45 to 60 ft in 145 ft of water.West side. All on Sutton spoons with blue the hot color. 2 doubles on Seth green rig. Fleas were tolerable. Great day

  3. If ya need hand cleaning out the junk. I am free anytime. Lol. That older stuff works better than some of the garbage you buy today. The Suttons are to come by. Not making them. IMO 71s are second best to the 44s

  4. Sounded like a great deal. Sorry I missed it. Doesn't look like Suttons will be making anymore anytime soon. Was in there 2 days ago. Talked with the lady a bit. That works the counter. She said Jim the guy running it hasn't made any spoons since his partner died. And it doesnt look like he's gonna. Doesnt even have hooks in stock to put on them. Picked a few odd ball spoons. Better keep what ya got

  5. Went out at north end today.Caught 3 lakers and loss a nice rainbow at the boat. Was a young man checking boats at the boat launch. He stressed not to go to another lake within 5 days.He also said that they were checking boats at all the launches in the finger lakes.I asked if this was because of whats going on at canadaguia lake, he kinda avoided question. So I asked what he thought was going on at canadaguia lake.He said they think its just from weather and the lake rolling over.Theres a lack of oxygen.Doesnt sound right to me all the finger lakes have been getting same weather and I haven't seen that many dead fish on hemlock canadice or keuka.just my opinoin

  6. We've been doing great with the trout all year. Haven't got the privilege of seeing the eagle yet this year. This lake is by far my favorite. No jet skiers or speed boats to deal with. And the fisherman are always friendly
