From canadian side launch at frenchmans and fish to miller's creek. Repeat. Cast everything in Canadian water between those 2 points. There are absolutely zero hazards/prop killers in that area.

Your not kidding about the bite there being shut down. Was there 2 weeks ago and it was decent. Came back Monday for 3 days and the whole lake was shut down. I've never seen it so tough there. Water Temps had dropped 10 deg in 7 days and the bait just scatered everywhere. I found offshore temps 2 degrees higher than what I found at the normal fall hot spots. Expecting 20 fish days and struggling to put 2 or 3 in the bag each day was brutal.

That's weird 7 years now in Canadian waters many times a week. I've never had a passport and they've never asked for or if I have my enhanced lic. Stopped last week by us coast guard with canadians on board. No issues.

I do the same with Crestliner 192 and a 101 terrova. Kicker pushes and terrova steers. Wouldn't troll open water without it.

I bet we average 1 big walleye every other night or so night trolling the niagara. Usually when you get into them you find more than one with some areas loading up at times during the summer. They are all on the large size with most being in that 27-30" range so it would be safe to say trolling musky baits is an effective trophy walleye tactic if that's what your after. We've caught most of them trolling perch baits and musky candies with quite a few more on depth raiders over the last few years. I've also had another dozen or so put red October tubes down their throats jigging during daylight hours. They are always a disapointment honestly as I just want it to be that giant skii every time a rod fires. Had one smoke a candy on the st. Larry 2 weeks ago, made the rod bend real slow just like a big girl would. Stupid 12 pound walleye.

Yea the terrova remains deployed the entire time and only used to keep direction. So basically u deploy it, start trolling at say 4mph with your kicker in the direction you want, hit the north function on your terrova remote and the head will keep u on track after that. If I want to turn I just use the remote and then re set the north function when I'm on my new line. When I hook up I kill the kicker and the terrova will keep me moving on that line as slow as I set it. Like I said I go just fast enough to keep the boards out. I run a 101 36v terrova but barely put a dent in the batteries using it just to steer all day.

Put 2 posts on the bottom that will fit right into your tube rod holders. Then u just point the holders up and slap your board in. Works great.

That said I never steer with my wheel when open water trolling. The motor is set straight and all steering is done with the terrova. If I'm on a lake Shortlining or following weedbeds or on the niagara/larry I use the wheel because I'm constantly throttling up and down and making turns.

I do exactly the same. I use the auto pilot on my terrova to steer so when I hook up I kill the kicker and the terrova keeps me moving just fast enough to keep my boards out. With the net in the water it's like your holding still. Works very well and I've still had fish grab those barely moving baits as the barely thump out there. Only rods you'll need to pull doing this will be your blades.

I would have guessed 25. It's a pig for sure, thick head to tail. We weighed a 52x25 larry fish with that build at 40lbs even to give you an example. But your fish could honestly be a few pounds either way. It's just not easy to estimate with those fish. Any musky that approaches that 40lb range is an absolute beast. Awesome fish, congrats.

We've weighed 20+ big fish in the net up to 56 inches in the last 4 years. It's very hard to tell without actually putting them on the scale. 2 fish can have identical measurements but 1 big meal can make a 5-10 lb difference. My guess would be 38-43lbs. Anything over 40 is an absolute bohemoth but that fish looks thick head to tail. Without putting it on a scale its impossible, I could be way off. I will say we've weighed fish that were longer and looked bigger than this one that just cracked 40.

Talk about the spot on the spot! How has it been the last few days. Water temps around 33? Ice? Guessing it's slowed considerably. No more 20 fish days this fall.

Yup, people love herters decoys. Not necessarily rare or antiques but great working decoys that last forever. Imo $100 a dozen is a fair price to ask. Before they stopped making them 6 decoys from cabelas was over $100

My dream boat right there. I can imagine the weight of a 21 foot glass boat makes high speed trolling with a 9.9 pretty impossible. I heard most of the boats on the pmtt run a 15 for that reason. Even the 9.9 on my crestliner tournament 192 takes way more throttle than I'd like to do 5 mph so I'd guess your 621 would def need more motor to do it comfortably.

Just curious Ivan. How big? Also have u had success using the bk rig anywhere else besides the larry?
