   Well, I haven't been on site for awhile.  The reason being I have been giving 24/7 care to my wife & best friend of 46 years.  As of Tuesday 8/16/16 she lost her 5 year battle to cancer & was laid to rest on Friday 8/19/16. I pray that her pain & suffering is over & that she is now resting in peace.        Cancer Sucks!

   Maybe the fish will love the lures/scent as is!

If the cat dissappeared,

  I like this, lol.  Grandma's  cat trap ='s  1 live trap, 1 burlap bag, 10 #'s of rocks, 1 local stream/pond, cats disappear !   just  saying!

Doesn't sound or look good.

  Most likely the engine coupler spun out.  Need to pull the outdrive/maybe engine & replace the coupler on the flywheel.  Check drive shaft & universal also at the same time.   Good luck!   Keep the check ok handy!

   Is it the u-joint, engine coupler, carrier bearing, the shaft & did they line it up with tool  when it went back together ?? Are the splines on the shaft & coupler good? need to know all this. 

 Cabelas, Dicks & walmart  has lake maps sometimes.

Lol,   We worry about 6-12' of floro leaders as we hit them in the head with cannon balls, flashers, spin drs. , dipseys & everything else we send down.  I wonder if that piece of line really matters? Like a lot of things I think it catches more fishermen than fish!

Adk1, Ive been looking for years for a hardtop for my Islander too,   I think finding a unicorn would be easier. Ive just about given up.

   Agreed,    I don't understand why everyone is down on lakers?  With todays cost of equipment & gas prices ,I feel as long as I am out there I might as well be catching/doing something if other fish aren't biting.  jmo

  Sounds good , How do you prepare/eat them?

  We fished, got 3 lakers right away, then 3-4 ft. waves out of the east & no more fish!  Wind blows!

   We plan on fishing tomorrow for lakers . Any ideas where we should head anywhere from  the lower river to the Oak is good for us. Thanks for any info.  hope the east winds aren't to much for our 19 footer.  dam winds!
