Has been the last 2 #'s as far back as the 1970's or before.

I start by bleeding them out in the cooler on the boat. When I get back home, I filet the meat off, filet out the pin bones, then cut the skin off and last remove the red / brown tissue off the back side of the filets. If the filets are going in my freezer, I vaccuum seal them. If they are going to the guys at work, I just throw them in ziplocks and let them freeze them the way they want to.
+2 here, but I do beleive freezing them in water the taste is much better. I just had vacuum sealed ones & told the wife the frozen water ones are better & she agreed! (thats a first) lol

If you buy smaller & your like me you will get foot disease, started with a 16' then 18' then 20' now up 22'. I would suggest fiberglass over alum. for a better ride & bigger has room you will need/like. Also like Jimski hinted to rough water is no fun to fish in. JMHO.

PM sent, interested.

I think you are looking for a controll king or a troll master. There is a thread on both in this old boat just go down 6-7 threads. I use a troll master on a 9.9 yamaha & it works great.

My mast broke off the base plate a few years ago. I had it welded & it has been good, no problem. Get a pro. welder.

they sound nice but im not to fond of this
The boat must be in neutral to retrieve the boards.
Try steering to the boards as you reel them in. Head rite for them & reel. jmo

FYI- If you go to the NRA web site ( nraila.org)You can e-mail your state & federal reps./law makers all at once ,very easy. Write your thoughts send them & let them know how you feel. There is more gun control crap coming at us.

I use the swim noodles under the gunnels it keeps the hooks up out of the way and they stay there when going down the road 65 mph.

I had a powerwinch on an 18' and a 20' years back & they always worked well. No problems.

Dutton TW 9000 works for me, mine is an older one with cable, but still works great.

Have had both & like the o/b over the i/o much easier to winterize. Big motor to get there & small one (kicker) to troll all day (cheap). Jmo.

way to think ahead, smart move !

My buddy loves his, its great for anchoring over perch schools. I know its not good at the mouth of the upper river, not enough power. It works well when going back & forth on the same trolling line. He uses a wireless hand remote with his.
