    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

    ====================

    Left Oswegos port and traveled N to 130 fow and was not marking much of anything on the way out. Dropped my depth raider down to bottom. Temp was 64 degrees :o. I was not marking any fish still so I travel more N to 520 fow and trolled S with the waves. Again I dropped my Raider down this time I let 150' of cable 12lb ball out and still 64 degrees :o I did not mark any fish again but gave it a shot anyways. Trolled back until we hit 200 fow with out marking any fish and decided to call hit because I for some reason got sicker then a dog. Not sure if it was just the waves or am I coming down with something but I let one of the guys drive my truck and boat and as mentioned we left early. Thats not like me at all. ;( Planning on heading out again but not sure where to go. I can trailer just about any where from Ithaca. Any suggestions.

  2. I want to head to the Big O from Ithaca tomorrow morning and Saturday for some trolling action and show my Dad a good time. I know its been windy so there has not been many reports to go by. I was thinking of launching out of Oswego for some kings but Ontario is new to me so I don't know the typical pattern to go by. I hear that the kings have moved in the river but the big runs have not come so I assume there is still time. I just like a good starting point if possible. Thanks Rob.

    PS: I always post my reports with pics so you will hear how I make out. ;)

  3. I can't really talk to much cause I have not fished the LOC yet but after reading these post I don't think any thing should change. As mentioned earlier it is like hitting the lottery. There are so many other derbys and tournaments to compete in that the LOC should not change. It is unique. Yes I would like to see the top 5 places with more money but 1st place gets 20 grand. Thats awesome. Don't change a thing! I may not have fished the LOC but have plenty of experience with crow hunts and predator hunts to know you can't make everyone happy. You can only do your best and I think it is great the way it is. I can't wait till the sping LOC

  4. The premium chip really is all you need for the fingerlakes and ontario. Its what I would have gotten if it weren't for buying my unit at Cabelas. They have a 100 dollars off if you by platium. I could not resist. I don't think you can go wrong with the premium though and they do have them on sale at Cabelas but you probably still could get them cheaper some where online.

  5. WTG :clap: I'm jealous. I have been wanting to try Owasco trolling for sometime now but just can't drag myself off Cayuga. :D I'm having the same problem with Bows but I feel like I'm getting closer and closer to figuring them out.

  6. I did use the watermelon spoon on 10 colors and caught two ll's on it. Don't have the wonderbread spoon yet. I did run the wonderbread SD/fly combo with no luck! I have had good luck with it in the past. I did not know walker had a magnum diver. Sweet I will have to find a set. I have one magnum dipsy and a few the next size down. I run both at 305 out and usually I can't keep them in the water except yesterday. They were pretty dead untill evening. I have been having more luck on the sunny bright days.

    I am planning on fishing friday, sat and sunday depending on the weather. One of the days I am hoping to make a trip to lake ontario but other then that I will be on Cayuga. Hope to see you out there.

  7. The Albright knot I think is the most popular knot used. Here is a link. I set up my core yesterday on the boat. I found using a toothpick for support on the wraps help keep it neat, but you have to work it tight real slowly similar to a nail knot.
