Holy Christopher what did that eye weigh?? Man that’s a slob of an eye, and is the next fish a Atlantic, it’s so huge I can’t really tell 100% what it is. What are you feeding these fish other than growth hormones:lol:

Thanks Pap! If I had to guess, I would say the walleye was around 12 pounds. And that really fat fish is a brown I caught spring trolling.

  2. A few pictures from spring through the fall. It’s been a fun year. Looking forward to 2018. Some of the pictures include a monster walleye caught floating for steelhead, a limit of egg wagon female King’s off the pier one night, the tail of my biggest float Fishing king (26lbs), my first muskie, doubled up with deer on opening day (my buddy got a monster 11 pt), and a monster brown landed on 4lb leader. Enjoy

  3. Had a successful opening day. Just wanted meet in the freezer, and was able to do that. Had 3 does come in early, but never had a great shot, so let them walk. 20 minutes later had a nice mature doe come into 20 yards, so pulled the trigger and took her. About 10 minutes later, heard my buddy shoot. He texted me and said he got a nice 8 pointer. We were pumped as we had two deer down by 730. We decided to sit till 9 before we went to look for the buck. Also had alittle spike come in at about 830 and he kept trying to mount the doe that was laying 20 yards from me for about 20 minutes. Never seen anything like that. Anyway, met up with my buddy and we went and tracked his buck. It only ended up going 50 yards, and to both of our surprises it ended up being a monster 11 pt. It was my buddies best buck by far. It was a great day to be part of and a great opening morning.

  4. Thank you guys for all who gave me info about targeting musky. I was able to land my first this weekend, and my buddy was also. We each had 3 opportunity’s this weekend, all casting. If you like catching fish, Musky Fishing isn’t for you. Its mentally and physically draining, but casting from sun up to sun down 2 days in a row paid off. I would love to make one more trip out this year in hopes to hookup with the between 40 and 50 incher that hit me 5 feet from the boat. All in all, it was a great experience, and I now see how musky guys get addicted to this fish.

  5. Line pound test is determined by fish landing success. Thirty pound mono for Lake Ontario salmon is necessary for the flea problems as it fished cleaner than finer lines. As a leader on dipsey diver lines you will save a lot of flasher fly rigs since the the diver has enough drag when a King hits and runs. I have taken two sixteen pound Browns off Four Mile Creek with six pound test mono in fifty five foot of water in warm summer water. With a boat you can chase a fish for long time. Winter fishing in the lower Niagara six pound test is most successful till water temperatures reach forty five degrees and the fish fight turns on heavily.

You use 6lb test on the Niagara for Kings?

  6. If you are casting at night for Kings with glows 150-300 yard 20 pound braid is all you need. If you are casting during the day with mono or Floro 10 to 12 pound test 150-300 yards would be fine. When I float Fish for Kings in the river I run 12 pound mono 150-200 yards and a 10 pound leader
