    Nice job guys!

Pikefreak jr., is one of the best fisherman around, He out fishes most adults I know!

Thanks for putting them on some eyeballs Justin. ......Now you'll have to come up to the "Bay" and get in on some big fish!

  2. Here's a couple more Mac Daddy's from today!

Got five on a sonar and the big one on a Kinchu Minnow. I used to hate these things now I'm having a blast targeting walleye and getting Sheepshead! State record here we come!

Well, that didn't take long! 26.9lbs. 33 inches in length

    Prophecy ?

  3. Sorry guys i am new to the walleye tackle but what are spinners and what do they look like? does anyone have a pic?

You can Google "worm harness or Crawler harness" to see some pics. Most people use some kind of weight such as a Bottom bouncer or a three- way rig to get it down near bottom.

  4. I'm amazed at how many posts this thread has gotten to.  An under rated fish for it's sporting potential.  I can see it now, a special bonus category in the next LOTSA tourny.

    You are absolutly correct sir!

We're catching so many big ones (over 14lbs) EVERYTIME out, we gave up taking pictures!

They hit  anything, in fact, I've been switching everything up trying to get away from the Sheep and still catch them at all depths with all lures.

They fight like crazy and will spool you on light line.......Just ask Pikefreak how many lures he's gone through!!! :bandit:

  5. That is too funny.  Are you targeting them now?  I love catching any fish that will smack a lure, including drum.  I've never seen someone be so adept at catching just those.

......Try throwing a sonar, they were smashing it like crazy yesterday. I landed 5 and lost three more at the boat, one even took my one and only sonar on a break-off.

Anyone that thinks they don't fight hasn't caught one over 14lbs. They go berzerk!!!!!!

  6. I doubt you are targeting them but, this is bedding time. The water temps are pushing their breeding times beyond the norm. I would try to stay away from shallow fishing if you are interested in promoting the species. I am no biologist I just feel bad when I hear of bass catches in May and early June, when I know they are getting busy.

There's so many bass in the bay, a few accidental catches won't hurt a thing. We get them all the time trolling.

Plus......State regs say its OK to target black bass "from Dec. 1st through the first friday preceding the 3rd Saturday in June, C&R and artificials only"

Should we all volunteer to stop fishing 'till bass season opens ? :)

We found a dead one on the lake yesterday that had a seagull stuck on it. The fish had a rapala x rap it had snapped off from the fisherman and the seagull tried to eat the x rap. He was stuck on the lure and was being pulled under by the dead fish bobbing in the waves. We netted the whole mess and freed the gull and got a new x rap!

............................or was it a ZOMBIE SHEEPy  with the x-rap, that tried to eat the seagull???????
