stevo i was thinking the same thing!!!!

yea i guess thats what it is, it sort of sounds cool to use, what exactly is a seth green rig? with the rigger rod wouldnt you have to cut all the lines going up if you catch a fish on the bottom line? or just use really small snaps that will go through the guides and on the reel. then all you would have to do is take the lure off them until you get to the bottom lure which has the fish in it. would that work?

i just bought some trolling spoons, flashers etc and with the deal it came with a 6ft. rod. pretty heavy, maybe like a ocean rod with a nice penn long beach no. 67 reel spooled with what looks like to be heavy mono like 40 pound. it has little swivels every 25-50 ft. the guides on the rod are metal. i was wondering what i can use this rod for in my trolling outfit. should i switch it from mono to a junk rod or leadcore or just leave the line and use it for something else. any help would be greatly appriciated. Codie

i have 2 Okuma 8' 6'' Classic Pro GLT Downrigger rods and the Okuma magda pro 30's that dont really get used that much. i was wondering if i put some wire and a twillie tip on them if they would make good dipsy rods.

i use mostley all rapalas. between the x-raps, husky jerks, and the jointed rapalas i do pretty well. they have all sizes and colors for all different depths and situations. i think the new clackin' series from rapala might be a hit, maybe we'll have to wait and see. also i use the bass pro XPS professional series stickbaits. i found out that the gold colors with some red and white work real well.

thanks for the report and good job, glad to hear you got some fish your first out this year

i think its a good idea to help the rainbows out, in the last couple of years i have noticed that the number of rainbows we have been catching is going down every year. so any help that they can get will great. also maybe if it was 1 fish a day not so many people will target them in the lakes and streams, which will also help alot.

i was thinking on buying 2 of these downriggers and read the reviews and sort of got scared, alot of people say there good but others say that there bad. i was wondering if anyone bought them and loved them or hated them. also some people say that the releases that come with it are bad. i was wondering your opinion on the rigger and what you changed to make it better. any info would be greatly appriciated. thanks, Codie

hey guys, i wanted to get into using dipsy divers more but dont really know the right way to have them. so i just wanted to pick your brains a little. i was wondering what type of line you use when using a dipsy? how long of a snubber you use? what colors of the dipsy you have and like to use? what type of rod/reel combo do you prefer?
Thanks,
Codie
